Sealed proposals for the improvement of the roads described #erein will be received by the Highway Commissioner of McHenry Township, McHenry County, at the office of the Highway Commissioner until 10:00 o'clock A.M., August 27, 1974, and at that time publicly opened and read. 2. Description of Work, (a) The proposed improvement is in McHenry Township and is located at the following locations for a distance of 8065 feet, of which 8065 feet (1.528 miles) are to be improved. Barnard Mill Road from I approximately 25 feet East of School Koad to 7335 feet West School Koad from Barnard Mrtl Road to 730 feet North (b) The proposed improvement consists of a bituminous surface plant mix - Class B (modified) and aggregate shoulders Type B along with necessary and related work. 3. Instructions to Bidders, (a) Plans and proposal forms may be obtained from the Township Highway Commissioner 3703 No. Rte. 31, McHenry, Illinois. (b) All proposals must be accompanied by a bank cashier s check, bank draft, or certified check for not less than ten (10) per cent of the amount of the bid, or according to the schedule as provided in Article 102 09 of the "Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction" prepared by the Department of Transportation of the State of Illinois. 4. Rejection of Bids.
