He recalled, in The Book Of The Prophet Isaish 43:1 it is written, '"But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, I have called thee by thy name, thou art mine." After the service, the congregation shared a buffet Rally Day At Zion Church It was a special day at Zion Lutheran church Sept. 8. As Pastor Graef stated, "Rally day is the time we gather together at God's call to His word and recommit ourselves to the proclamation and teaching of His gospel. Today we celebrate with special thanks to God for His word and to fellow-Christians who teach us faithfully." : THINK ABOUT IT!! BY BOB JUSTEN Can It not be said progress or failure is mainly due to proper» improper or sometimes an utter lack of thinking? Surely it is true that new ideas and power ful thoughts can effect your own destiny and in some cases even the destiny of mankind in general. Men like Alexander, Napoleon and Hitler had thoughts which led to wars of conquest. They brought only destruct ion. Other men with other thoughts brought progress, prosperity and happiness. And so it is with all of us as individuals. Our thoughts of today can create a better or worse tomorrow. Proper thoughts not only add purpose, they create new incentives for life itself. Is it not true if our thoughts are filled with faith, cheerfulness, gratitude, encouragement, happiness, love and friend ship - we avoid negative and destructive thoughts of greed, despair, fear and vulgarity? Are these not com pelling reasons to channel our thoughts toward the good things in life? . . . GEORGE R. JUNSTEN FUNERAL HOME 3519 W.
