0 Mary Eastwood Manor Ann Bellak McHenry Hornets Pee Wee Team On Winning Streak The Pee Wees are on a winning streak says coaches Jerry Smith and Darrell Spice. They beat Round Lake's White Team 38-12. Eastwood Manor was well represented on both offense and defense by Kurt Rehberg who played offensive halfback and scored two touchdowns and defensive guard, Scott Rehberg played defensive and offensive guard, Jeff Justen played defensive end; John Clewis played offensive center and defensive middle linebacker. Clewis recovered another fumble. Justen and Clewis also put one of the other teams out of commission for a while. Doug Cochran got into his first game as defensive linebacker. The lightweights and heavyweights traveled to Antioch and left all their football at home. Lightweights were beaten 28-0. Mostly on their own errors. Heavyweights fared a little better losing 25-7. Both lightweight and heavyweight teams were beaten by a weak pass defense and weak plays against wide sweeps. Both Coach Thorne and Lem Limbaugh were quite disappointed in the showing of their heavyweight team. On Sept. 29 the Pee Wee's travel to Chicago to play Edison Park. And the heavyweights and the lighweights play at Wauconda. Also our boys will be around with stadium sit upon cushions to help pay for uniforms so how about a helping hand?! Coach Clewis' wife Karen gave me all the information needed on the McHenry Hornets, a lot of our neighborhood boys are involved in this football team and I think it is really nice to read and know what's happening with them.
