A pilgrimage is a journey to a sacred place undertaken as an act of religious devotion, either simply to venerate, or to ask the fulfillment of some need, or as an act of penance or thanksgiving, or a combination of these. The pilgrimage commences when the people from the deanery leave their homes and gather at a designated area at St. Mary's church and continue to process into the church for the celebration of the Mass which will begin at 1:30 p.m. Bishop Arthur J. O'Neil will be celebrant and all parish priests attending will be concelebrants.
