It seems that Morton Chemical had some equipment that had to be moved from one area to another and they decided that a helicopter would be tH? best solution. So they proceeded to start this project on Friday when the kids didn't have school and were they lucky 'cause they could stand across the street from the Chemical company and watch the whole project. Even adults were watching and passersby would stop their autos to see what was going on. Then the next week the kids wanted to stay home from school to watch 'cause they were told that a bigger helicoptor would arrive to move the bigger pieces of equipment. And it did with more noise than the red helicoptor the week before, this was a big yellow helicoptor. (have you ever heard an almost 2 year old try to say yellow helicoptor? Well it's priceless how it comes out). The job was completed to everyone's satisfaction, even the onlookers. WELCOME TO RINGWOOD We wish to welcome Tom and Gert Kaefer, daughter, Krista, and son, Mark, to the Ringwood area. They have moved into their new home located on Ridgeway Road. Enroute to St. Louis they stopped off at Jacksonville and visited with Larry and Diane Cristy. Another unique experience was riding on the oldest operating escalator in the United States located in the Annheuser Busch Company. This escalator was] put into operation in 1917 and serves six floors. At Memphis, the folks attended the Mid-South | Exposition where Northern Pump Farms were exhibiting cattle. One of the cattle judges was a former Ringwoodite, Odell Gelvin of Fairland, Okla. On the return trip home, they traveled through the Ozarks and were surprised to find quite a bit of color showing in the trees.
