Ringwood News (653-9006) (653-9262) (7&Utt95) Former Resident Earl Betts, Weds Arkansas Girl Mr. and Mrs. Earl Betts of Gassville, Ark., announce the marriage of their son, Daniel Betts, to Judy Hodges. The very pretty wedding took place Oct. 25 at 8 p.m. in Mt. Hope Lutheran Church, in Gassville, Ark. Danny is a 1969 graduate of McHenry high school, and Judy graduated^from Mountain Home high school in 1973. Both are employed locally in Arkansas and will make their home on an 80 acre ranch. After a small reception held at Earl and Dorothy's, Danny took his bride on a surprise honeymoon to Ringwood to visit and meet friend* and relatives in the area Those attending the wedding from this area were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Betts, Jr., and family. By the time you read this Danny and Judy will have returned home to Arkansas to get things settled in their new home, and then both will return to work. Best of luck to you two. WEDDING RECEPTION Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Betts, Clarkridge, Ark., were sur­ prised Monday evening when they arrived at the Lawrence Stilling home. It was a belated reception for the young couple given by family and friends who were unable to attend the wedding of Daniel Betts and Judy Hodges on Friday, Oct. 25, in Gassville, Ark. It was a fun evening for all present. ROAST BEEF DINNER AND BAZAAR Have you got your tickets for the annual roast beef dinner at the Ringwood church on Saturday, Nov. 9? Bazaar opens at 2 p.m. for all the gift items that you are looking for, for that certain person and for something different. NEW ONE Mr. and Mrs. Larry Stilling are the parents of little Leena Ann, born at 3:10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at Burlington Memorial hospital. The little lady weighed in at 7 lbs., 7M> oz., and she has three sisters to greet her when she arrived home. Mrs. Stilling is former Esther Betts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Betts, Gassville, Ark. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Stilling, 4302 Ringwood road. Paternal great-grandmothers are Mrs. Bertha Schmidt, 309 Glenwood, McHenry and Mrs. Anna Betts, 4816 Barnard Mill Road, Ringwood. Maternal great-great grandmother is Mrs. Helena Grandt of Wheeling. HELPING PAWS 71 UNICEF COLLECTION AND PARTY With the beautiful warm weather Sunday afternoon, it made it a perfect day for little witches, ghosts, clowns and what have you to go out trick-n- treating for UNICEF. Twenty- four youngsters and adults collected over $60. for this worthy cause during a two hour period and then they all returned to the church for games and supper served by the ladies of the church. ABOUT TOWN Some of the folks visiting at the Brennan-Hepburn home this past week were Mrs. Alan Ainger of Hebron, Mrs., Bill Brennan and Mrs. Oscar Coss of Richmond. The Russell Soddys of Kenosha were here for the weekend and Sunday evening they took "Aunt" Nellie for a visit at the Henry Aisse'ns in Wonder Lake. BIRTHDAYS Happy birthday goes to Vic Hopp, Jr., and to Muriel (Butler) Benoy on Nov. 2 and to Roger Tonyan on Nov. 7. Nov. 8 finds Rodney Ackerman celebrating his special day. Happy birthday to all of you and many, many more of them. A very happy belated bir­ thday goes to Marie Merel out there on Ridgeway road, on Oct. 27. Sorry we missed you Marie but we now have your name and date in our birthday book so that you will be remembered on time next year. The bazaar will be held Saturday, Nov. 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at North Elementary school in Crystal Lake. We are in need of craft items, handmade Christmas ornaments and decorations and white elephant items. Also, we need donations to our bake sale. We really need your help!
