The above named will be installed into office on Jan. 14, and I would like to request any and all readers of Lilymoor to try to attend the coming meeting and to pass the word to anyone else in the subdivision .they should happen to talk to. It has been quite some time since a large number of residents attended a meeting and with the coming of new officers, who will need the support and assistance of all residents, the January meeting would be a very good time to show them you are interested in them and your home town. In case some of you don't know where the meetings are held, the address is 319 N. Glenwood Ave. (formerly the Counley home). Mr. and Mrs. Chris Bleich are very gracious in letting the association use their heated garage as a meeting place. CIVIL DEFENSE Norman Morrison was authorized by the village board to become a member of the Illinois Civil Defense Unit and the North East Civil Defense Council. The time for celebrating for Linda Garbacz is on the twenty-third, for Teddy Dawdy it is the twenty- fourth, on the twenty-fifth Maynard Johnson and Arthur Lund have the fun of separating their Christmas gifts from their birthday gifts. On the twenty- seventh Susie Karen Thomas, Charles Thornton and Ralph Freeman may also have a bit of the same problem. The twenty- ninth will be the reason for Ruth Kroncke's cake to be a bit brighter with the addition of one more candle. New Year's Eve is the date for double celebration for Morris Ingram and Stephen Mumma when both become one year older. ANNIVERSARIES Dec. 18 is the anniversary of the wedding date of Henry and Claudia Gam, and the twenty- eight is the date for Charles and Nancy Hueckstaedt. A very happy anniversary to both couples. DECK THE HALLS - etc May I take this opportunity to wish all the readers a very happy holiday season. Barely 100 years ago, President Fillmore had the first bath tub put in the White House It had no pipes-water was heated on the kitchen stove, and carried in buckets. Uncle Sam Prints Tax Forms For Distribution The Internal Revenue Ser vice is now printing the 1040 and 1040A individual income tax packages and yours will be on its way by the end of this month.' In northern Illinois there will be 3,295,675 distributed. For the first time, according to Charles F. Miriani, IRS district director for northern Illinois, the tax packages for farmers, ranchers and com mercial fishermen will be printed on recycled paper as an experiement. He said that eventually the IRS hopes to print all tax forms on recycled paper for environmental and economic reasons. The 1974 forms also include the addition of a "no" box in connection with the 1976 Presidential Election Cam paign fund check-off. This will allow taxpayers to check "yes" ' HOME FEDERAL SAV FREE MERRY CHRISTMAS GIFTS CRYSTAL. LAKE Here's a Christmas Bonus to you for saving at Home Federal Savings. The 1974 forms will continue to make it clear that a check-off designation does not decrease any refund nor increase the tax liability of taxpayers Mr. Miriani said the new forms are much like last year's and that taxpayers will be able to use their 1973 forms as a guide in preparing their 1974 returns. He said the main difference between the 1973 and 1974 forms is the reintroduction of Schedule B for the reporting of dividend and interest in come. On 1973 returns taxpayers listed the total for all dividends and interest income. On the 1974 forms, taxpayers who have more than $400 of dividend income or $400 of interest in come must file Schedule B. A section headed "Highlights" on the front page of the forms package draws the taxpayer's attention to the IRS toll-free telephone service, the new rule regarding the interest and dividend ceiling, and the fact that IRS supervisors oc casionally monitor telephone calls lo improve the quality of telephone taxpayer The director stressed the fact that such action is taken solely for the purpose of spot- checking on the quality of tnis service. He further emphasized that no telephone calls are recorded and that no record is made of the taxpayer's name or address unless, at the request of the taxpayer, a follow-up telephone call is necessary.
