He was brought to the McHenry Police station, where he was processed and then taken to McHenry county jail, where he is being held in lieu of bond. Kathryn L. Brittian of 1906 Oakleaf drive, McHenry, was arrested and charged with forgery by Detective Sgt. Kinnerk. Her bond was set at $4,000 and she is to appear in court Jan. 2. The arrest took place after police were alerted to the fact that a forged check has been passed on NdvrtfO at McHenry State bank in the amount of $50. Investigation led to the arrest of Ms. Brittian. Kinnerk reported that three male juveniles were petitioned to juvenile court Tuesday. One juvenile was charged with passing forged checks at McHenry State bank. The of­ fense occurred Nov. 1. A second juvenile was charged with possession of narcotic drugs on Dec. 2 and the third was charged with arson in connection with an incident at East campus high school Dec . 11 . . McHenry churches are making plans for special' services on the holy day of Christmas, commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. . St. Mary Catholic At St. Mary Catholic church there will be a carol service Christmas eve starting at 11:15 p.m. followed by a con- celebrated Mass in the main church at midnight. There will also be a guitar Mass at mid­ night in Mary chapel. Masses on Christmas day are 6:30, 8, 9:30, 9:45,10:45, 11 and noon. There will be confessions heard after the 8 a.m. Mass Tuesday and from 3 to 5 p.m. that day. Zion Lutheran Zion Lutheran church, 4206 W. Rt. 120, celebrates the Christmas season this year with six special services of worship. The message in all services will be from the people of Christmas in the Word to the People of Christmas in the world today. The Christmas eve services are at 7:30 p.m., "The Shepherds Share the Word", and at 11:30 p.m., candlelight service, "The Merry Crowd in Bethlehem". The following day there will be a service at 10:30 a.m., "The Wise Men Were Glad to Know". The following Sunday there will be rites at 7:45 and 10:30 a.m., "The Holy Family was Kept Together". Other services are scheduled for New Year's eve and New Year's day. Faith Presbyterian On Christmas eve at 7 p.m. there will be a special Choir Choral and Scripture service at Faith Presbyterian church, featuring a number of special anthems by the junior and ' senior choirs. Pastor Roger Schneider will speak on the theme: "Wouldn't it be fantastic. . .?" based on John 1:1. The senior choir, under the direction of Norman Macdonald, III, will provide special music. The service will conclude with the sanctuary in total darkness, except for the candles held by the wor­ shippers, as the congregation sings "Silent Night, Holy Night!" A Christmas day festival communion service will be held on Christmas day at 10:30 a.m. On Dec. 22 at 6:30 p.m., the Luther League will sing Christmas carols for all of the shut-ins in the parish. Death** WILLIAM KENDERS Last rites were held Friday night at 8:30 p.m. at the Peter M. Justen and Son funeral home for William Kenders, 65, of 4814 Chesterfield drive, Whispering Oaks. Rev. Roger W. Schneider of Shepherd of the Hills church officiated. Burial was private. Mr. Kenders was pronounced dead on arrival at McHenry hospital, Thursday, Dec. 19. He was born June 27, 1909, in Illinois. He was a retired foreman of a valve manufac­ turing company in Chicago and had lived in this area for five years. His survivors include his wife, Helen V., nee Howorka ; a brother, Walter, of Chicago; and a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Conca, of California. Memorials may be made to the heart fund.
