RTE 120 McHENRY, III Phone: 385-3200 4-H NEWS LINCOLNCLOVERLEAVES The Lincoln Cloverleaves 4-H club held their last meeting Dec. 9 at the James C. Bush elementary school. The meeting was brought to order by the Vice-President Joy Vyduna at 7:30. The American pledge was led by Lisa Boyer and the 4-H pledge was led by Lisa Adams. Roll call was taken and there were eleven absent and thirty- five present. Eric Staveteig gave the treasurer's report and there is $207.65 in the bank. Old business was a report given by Jim Harrer on the last federation meeting. New business was that Dec. 16 there was a federation party and Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. at the North Farm at the Northern Pump farms. The cost is a dollar and if you wanted to participate in Share-the-Fun you were to sign a sheet. Betty Lang is the chairmen of the Share-the-Fun. There will be a Christmas party the twenty-first of December at Veteran's Acres. Lynn McWhinnie made a motion to buy at banner for the club. Judy Vyjfuna seconded it. Installation of officers was next. President is Joy Vyduna, Vice-F*resident is Betty Lang, Secretaries Andy Akins and Judy Vyduna. Reporter is Debbie Mueller, Treasurer Billy Lang, Sergeant-at-arms Alison Boyer and Lynn Mc­ Whinnie, recreation officers are Eric Staveteig, Kurt Mueller, Robin Nolan and Kathy Besserud. Federation delegates are Dan Miller and Mary Goetschel. The meeting was adjourned. Games and refreshments followed. Andrea Akins, Reporter. 4-CORNERS Newly elected officers of the 4-Corners 4-H club President, Cindy Miller, Vice-President, Kelly Fitzgeraldd, Secretary Janet Werner, Treasurer, Peggy Fitzgerald, Reproter Katie Kagan attended officers training in Woodstock, 111. At the Dec. 2 meeting plans for the year's activities were discussed. On Dec 16 we plan to meet at St. Peter's hall for an evening of carolling and a hayride. Our home-made cookies will be given out to special people in the community the same night. During Christmas vacation we have planned sledding and skating parties with dates to be announced. On Dec. 9 from 7- 8:30 p.m. at St. Peter's hall fifty-two people attended a pot- luck for local achievement which was for those who competed last year. Fair premiums were presented to Dezra Grey, Kathi Noster; second, Barbara Rakoncay. The following^ earned 4-H achievement awards; seventh year, Cindy Schmitt; fourth year. Sue Below, Cindy Miller; third year, Al Schmitt, Julie Sutton, Janet Werner; first year, Sara Eckman, Kelly, Peg and Mike Fitzgerald, Tammy Hack, Shiela Hansen, Val and Vickie May, Laura Moore, Julie and Mike Morris, Peggy Rinda, Cheri Schmitt, Mary Ann Schmidt, Lisa Soland, Jackie Werner and Steve Young. Sue Below and Lisa Soland gave talks on dog care, Steve Young on swine, Cindy Miller on babysitting, Mike Fitzgerald on knitting, Peggy Fitzgerald on crocheting. Summary of the year's activities was given by Peggy Rinda. Katie Kagan, Reporter New Education This new education is really something.
