Eastwood Manor Mary Ann Bellak 385-5705 1I plaindealer - Wednesday, January 22,1975 Annual Fun Fair Scheduled For Hilltop Feb. 1 The annual fun fair will take place on Saturday, Feb. 1. It will start at 1 p.m. and end at 4 p.m. There will be a cake walk, cupcake surprise treats, a refreshment stand, there'will be a country bake shop which can be anything in the baked goods department. Also there will be a white elephant auction at the fun fair. If you have any items you would like to con tribute to the White elephant fun fair auction these articles can be brought to school during the week or on Saturday morning, about 11:30 a.m. Also, the baked goods can be brought to the school office on Friday, or to the kitchen on Saturday. Also a reminder: that what you bake is to be wrapped for sale (in other words put the item on a plate or a piece of cardboard with tin foil wrappings that do not need to be returned. Also you may price your item. There will be many booths where games will be going on and prizes to be won!! Please plan on attending Hilltop's annual fun fair on Saturday, Feb. 1, from 1 to 4. Two more women from our subdivision that I know of will be helping out, Mrs. Karen Clewis who will be baking a cake, and Mrs. Beverly Cochran who will be running a booth!! BIRTHDAYS Jeffrey Melone of Fairview Lane in Eastwood Manor celebrated his first birthday on Jan. 9, many more happy birth days Jeffrey!! BOWLING LEAGUE Terri Melone's bowling team is in second place. Terri recently had a 449 series. Terri's high game was 176 which also happened recently. Her game average thus far is 118 and rising. Good luck in the rest of the season, please keep us posted on how you and your team are doing!! E.M.P.O.A. This section is in regard to the next meeting of E.M.P.O.A. I'm in the process of organizing the next meeting, it will be more than likely the second or third week in February, and on a week night, and in our sub division, nothing will become final until the end of the first weeek in February. So after that when I make plans for which night and what time, I will be sending bulletins out and putting notices in my column. Anyone in the sub division who would be able to help pass out flyers or have one of your children pass them out please get in touch with me as soon as possible so that I can make the necessary plans. If you can do just one block or even a half of a block that would be a big help so please call. At this meeting I would like to have an election of officers and get organized in many ways. I have received more telephone calls on the water situation than the Eastwood Manor Water company has, please come to the meeting and let's discuss that among other problems and plans as a group. At present there are only plans to meet three or four times a year for a short period of time so please make that little extra effort to attend the next meeting. Meet your neigh bors, learn more about your subdivision, how to improve different situations, I'm sure there will be some old time members that will attend that meeting and would be able to answer many if not all of your questions, so how about giving us a try, if you have any questions at all just give me a call and I will be happy to answer them to the best of my ability or find someone that will be able to! All for E.M.P.O.A. until next month. < ENGAGED Christmas Eve, my sister-in- law, Jackie Bellak, became engaged to Joe Fricke. They won't be making any plans for getting married until they both finish college, so that will be at least a couple of years. Congratulations to you, Joe and Jackie, and much happiness and love always!! JAYCEE'S I'm not sure if you are aware of Ron Melone from Eastwood Manor being an active member of the Jaycee's. Recently he helped sell Christmas trees up at the Market Place. The money the organization makes on projects such as this surely goes for several worthwhile causes. One time I know the money went for new park equipment which gets a lot of use and has made many people happy; especially the children!! ANNIVERSARY On Feb. 5, Tom and Linda Golaszewski will be celebrating their third anniversary. Best wishes to the two of you. STILL HOSPITALIZED Mrs. Dan McNulty is still in the hospital after recently having major surgery. Please remember to take the time and send a card to let her know your thoughts and prayers are with her. As I told you recently her address is in the telephone directory. Do hurry and get well, Mrs. McNulty!!! MIKE KASPER On Feb. 22, along with George Washington, Mike Kasper will be celebrating his birthday, Mike will be celebrating his nineteenth birthday, many more happy birthdays to you Mike!!
