O u r congratulations to the complete team and keep up the good work. DOG REGISTRATION This year it will NOT be necessary to purchase a village dog tag for your dog. On the anniversary of your dog (being the date for the renewal of his or her rabies shot) your veterinarian will supply you with the necessary form to secure the rabies tag. After the dog is inoculated against rabies, proceed to the Village Clerk to secure the tag. The village clerk is the agent for the county and will issue the necessary tag. This will save you a trip to the county court house and help the village financially. ARE YOU REGISTERED TO VOTE? With the up coming elections April 15 it is advisable to ask yourself if you are registered to vote. If you are not registered by all means go to the village clerk to be registered. Intakes' only one minute of your tithe The second thing is to vote April 15. This election will bring you a chance to choose. There are two candidates who have filed for president and a third circulating petition. You are allowed to vote for three trustees also. BOARD MEETING JANUARY9 Highlights of the regular Board of Trustees meeting were the reporting of Mrs. Moyer's and Brtrp. Lillegard's visit to Congressman McClory in regards to the securing of the village hall premises. Also Mrs. Colberg appeared before the board to request that the or dinance pertaining to snowmobiles be changed to allow the riding on private property. Mrs. Colberg ex plained that last winter there was a conflict as to private property and the ordinance and was told that the ordinance would be changed and that it had not yet been done. The matter was referred to the ordinance committee for a draft for the next board meeting being Jan. 23. It was also reported that deputy building inspector William Pinkonsly, Sr., would be resigning and hopefully Lon Reed would be the new deputy building inspector. A yearly report by Police Chief Buck was read by President Bieritz. Sand would be delivered to the beach area for spreading and hopefully an ice skating area could be arranged for at the bail diamond. The road com missioner requested that the 3" snow level for parking vehicle on the street be changed to 2". The matter was referred to the ordinance committee. Bills were approved as follows: General Fund $219.87, and MFT Fund $177.47. The meeting adjourned at 9:15 p.m. VANDALISM Within the last several weeks three homes in the village have been broken into. It is suggested that an outside light be left on at the rear and front entrances of the house. This will help the police department during their patrols and by all means a safety precaution to the homeowner. This is one time you have a chance to help yourself and save a lot of later grief. NEEDS NEWS This columnist is always in need of news. A birthday, someone hospitalized or just a fun party that would /Jbe of in terest to all. There have been many calls as to why there is no column some weeks and that is because the news is slow coming. What may not be of much importance to you could be very interesting to others. CHRISTMAS CARDS NEEDED The social club is very much in need of your old Christmas cards. When you come to the village hall to purchase your vehicle sticker, why not bring your old Christmas cards and deposit them in the box provided. They would be most appreciated.
