PAGE 16 - PLA1NDEALER-FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 28. 1975 {Q/fitend \ A jigsaw puzzle of a church was Billy's project for the afternoon. He worked diligently as the church took form. But one section was missing-- the door. "A church has to have a door," he said. At last he found it. As Billy grows older, he may discover that the Church has many doors which can open to him: Gratitude for his home, his family, his friends Knowledge of God, his Creator Sensitivity to spiritual life Inspiration from Bible accounts of dedicated lives Experiences in sharing his beliefs with others Development of his character Foundations of a sustaining faith Open these doors to your child so that he may grow spiritually. Take him to church each Sunday. Tuesday Wednesday Thursday I Timothy John Mark 6: 6-10 10: 1-5 8: 31-35 Copyright 1975 Kenter Advertwng Service. Inc . Strasburg. Whatever happened to our concepts of right and wrong, our concepts of honesty and dec ency? Whatever happened to our spiritual essence? Whatever happened to cause us to condone what we know to be wrong with a shrug of the shoulder or lame excuse that "Everybody is doing it?" Why do so many people strive for fame, power, influence and the 'quick dollar'? Whatever happened to disapproval of lying, cheating and stealing? Why do we allow the glitter of gold to outshine with wealth of mind and spiritual perception? Are these questions old fashioned? If so, is it not time to revert back to old fashioned ideas that hard work combined with honesty of purpose, integrity of character and self-sacrificing service is sorely needed to restore honor and esteem to our nation? . . . George R. Justen Funeral Home, 3519 W. Elm St. - McHenry. Pearson (or was it good cards?) for she had high score and since there always has to be a loser, it unfortunately fell to Mae Weidrich of Woodstock to have low score. ABOUT TOWN Mr. and Mrs. Russell Soddy of Kenosha were weekend visitors at the Brennan- Hepburn home. Other recent visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Milton Madison of Kenosha and Genevieve Clark also of Kenosha. BIRTHDAYS First we would like to wish Don Klapperich a happy bir thday and hope he really en joyed this one as we forgot his day on the twenty-sixth. Please accept our apologies Don. Now on to the business at hand and that is to wish those a happy birthday in the month of March, and to Duane Andreas and to a sweet little girl who doesn't live here anymore a happy birthday on the second, Clarence Harrison on the fourth, and to Clayton Bruce on the seventh, and on Saturday, the eighth, to Robert L. Low. May you all have a happy day. Aquarium Club the McHenry Aquarium club will meet Monday, March 3, at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church, Green street, at 8 p.m. This month a member, Ron Miller, will give a talk on the Siamese Fighting Fish. In addition, there will be two visitors from the Elgin Aquarium club to explain some things about that organization. At each of the local meetings, the first Monday of every month, there is either a speaker, film or some fund raising event to help further knowledge of tropical fish, both fresh and salt water. Guests are very welcome and invited to ask questions about their particular interests. Service News JAMESOLDENBURG Airman James L. Oldenburg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell C. Oldenburg of 4205 W.
