PAGE 4 - FLAINPEALER-FRIPAY, MARCH 7, 1975 Holiday Hills Bev. Hill 385-5641 Solution Of Road Problems Main Issue What do you expect from your board of officers? An emergency meeting was called Wednesday, Feb. 26. Last year's officers as well as new officers were there to discuss the road problems we are now experiencing. So What! you say, this has been going on for years. Yes it has and it's going to continue that way until vou as a homeowner decide to pay your dues. If you don't pay your dues then why should you demand so much from the officers or road committee? Word was received from Carl Ames that if the bus routes don't get fixed, busing will cease and only enter the front of the subdivision. All children in school will have to be transported by parents to Sunset. As a parent and dues paying member, I don't think much of having to take my children to the front roads, just because you as homeowners don't pay your dues and the roads cannot be kept in driveable conditions. Three roads are in bad need of attention that are on the bus routes, Popular and Holiday, North of Hickory on Holiday, and Pine and Lilac With the reserves that we have available the worst roads will get repaired first. This will take place as soon as the material can be obtained. Much discussion was on past and present efforts of many people to do something about the roads. All efforts to get cooperation from township, county, city, and State Representatives have failed. We also have to say also among them are homeowners who do not pay their dues. We desperately need everyone who can pay their dues now, so as much as possible can be done while the machinery is in the subdivision. More will be done to try and keep you informed as to what's happening here in the sub division. If you care anything as to what's going to happen to our subdivision, plan now to attend the March 19 meeting at 8 p.m., held at the Campbell residence 2410 Driftwood. This is an important meeting as in corporation will be the m£in topic. Show the board that you care, and attqpd the meeting. Hope to see you there. P.S. Bring your dues. A MESSAGE FROM DREW John Drew, President of Holiday Hills, will officially retire the office of president, on March 1, only to take office of Vice-President. His message is as follows: It has been an interesting and challenging year for me ser ving as president of the Holiday Hills Property Owners Association. For one thing I have been impressed with the number of people, both in the association and outside, who share my concern for improving the quality of life here in the subdivision. Directors and officers of the 1974 Board have demonstrated, over and over this genuine concern, although efforts have hot been greatly visible to the average homeowner. Mr Drew's message went on to state the areas where effort was made to solve the problems the sub division is experiencing. We want to take the time to thank Mr. Drew as president, along with the rest of the 1974 officers. John Carroll, Bev Saunders, Phyllis Harper, Carol Wilson, Bill Abbink, Ken Chappel, Jim Colburn, Larry Guethes, Lorene Farr, Don Gregg. Leone Kathan, Karen Kottke, John Van Duyn and Jack White. Thank you all for your help in making up the slate for 1974 and for your many hours that you spent in volunteering your services. fl-l HEARING AID SERVICE Free Loaners-Complete Service on all Makes Custom Earmolds-30 Day Trail,on New Aids Try Before You Buy!
