On the agenda for this meeting will be many topics of interest to the residents of the community und the surroun ding areas. Among these are: 1. Annexation of the land in both McHenry and Lake counties. 2. Further information regarding the proposed Sewer Grant, (latest information received indicates that the State would like to release the grant by March 31. It is estimated that the system would be in operation early in 1977.) 3. A resolution objecting to the RTA Tax! 4. A resolution creating a Bicentennial Commission. 5. Development of recreational facilities on the lake-front. 6. Spring road program. The village meetings are open to the public and all are sincerely urged to attend. P*GE 15 - PLAINDEALER-WEDNESDAY, MARCH 12, 1975 Summer Employment Directory For '75 Available Locally The best way to get a paying job this summer is to know where the jobs are. The McHenry library has just received the 1975 Summer Employment Directory of the U.S., which contains some 90,000 jobs that are available in recreational areas throughout the rountrv. From the research conducted among thousands of employers for the facts contained in the 208-page book, there will be about 10 percent less jobs this summer, near the level of 1973. High school seniors are more favorably considered by some employers as they plan to train instead of hiring skilled, ex perienced workers. The employers include resorts, summer camps, national parks, summer theatres, ranches and restaurants. Most jobs include room and board and some have added benefits such as laundry, travel allowance, end-of-season bonus in addition to salary. The average salary is from $600 to $800 for an eight-week season. Complete information for making application is given -- specific opening, salary, dates of employment and the name of the person who accepts ap plications. High school seniors,, college students and teachers are invited to apply. Visit the library to learn details of 1975 summer job openings.
