(Don Peasley Photography) Prominent Bible Teacher Speaks For Women Aglow Bob Johnson, popular Bible teacher, will speak at the Thursday, March 20, Women Aglow in Christ luncheon, to be held at the John Evans Inn, Route 14, Crystal Lake, beginning at 11 a.m. For the past nine years, Bob Johnson, a general contractor, has been led into a paradoxical situation. As a Protestant layman, the Lord has brought him into a teaching ministry, primarily among Catholics, beginning with priests and nuns. Compelled by a strong inner desire for the Word, he was directed by the scripture "But the anointing which you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that any one should teach you as His anointing teaches you about everything." 1 John 2:27. After years of intensive, in dependent, Bible study, this leading was confirmed when he was asked to teach the monks at St Benedict's on Benet Lake. He taught there for three and one-half years. About six years ago. Bob Johnson began teaching a small group of nums at St. Joseph's school in Libertyville. This has grown into a weekly study with about 300 persons of all denominations attending. He lives in Winthrop Harbor, with his wife Jean, and two children, aged 21 and 18. He has been a resident of the Waukegan area most of his life. Angela Amici of McHenry will offer vocal selections. Women Aglow in Christ is an i n d e p e n d e n t n o n - denominational organization, welcoming everyone. For reservations call Mrs. Walter (Giriny r Ulick, 1117 Rocky Beach road, McHenry. ST. Anyone who has seen Bob Cromie as host of National Educational TV's Book Beat, which is shown or) 180 stations, knows what a fine speaker he is, how congenial an in terviewer of current authors, and what a fund of stories he has to tell.
