Route 31. "Educators have demon strated the close relationship between physical coordination and mental abili ty," explains Richard Young, Physical Director of the YMCA. "We feel just as strongly that a preschooler with confidence in his own physical abili ty will be more alert mentally." "Our 4 to 6 year olds programs are provided with developmental activities designed to explore each child's physical movements, make the child aware of his own per-< formance on many levels, and insure for him or her an im portant measure of success and self-confidence. The resulting atti tudes should carry over into the primary school years, forming basis for a pattern of achievement and enjoyment with every challenge."
