Stewart, who met while serving in the armed forces in Denver, Colo., were married Friday, April 11, at St. John the Baptist 'Catholic church, Johnsburg. Rev. Leo J. Bartel officiated at the 6 o'clock evening Mass. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Prit chard of 4412 N. Mapleleaf drive, McHenry, and the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Harry G. Stewart of Sutherland, Neb. Special music was presented at the Mass by the bridegroom's father, who sang "Wedding Song" and "The Lord's Prayer". He was ac companied on the organ by John Heidinger. The pretty bride wore a traditional ivory satin dress fashioned with long sleeves and a chapel length train. A chapel length illusion veil completed her ensemble. She carried a bouquet of white roses and carnations. For sentiment, she carried an old lace han dkerchief belonging to her grandmother. The bride's dress was fashioned by her mother- in-law. Donna Pritchard attended her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Maria Shultz of Denver, a friend of the bride, and Judy and Mary Pritchard, sisters of the bride. The maid of honor wore a floor length yellow gown and a wide brimmed hat. The other attendants wore similar gowns in shades of blue, green and yellow. Each carried a single rose. Mike Steward, the groom's brother who is serving with the U.S. Navy, San Diego, Calif., was best man. Groomsmen were Mike Shultz of Denver, a friend of the groom, and Mike Pritchard, the bride's brother. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Pritchard wore a floor length gown of pink knit with a matching lace jacket. The groom's mother chose a formal length blue gown. The lovely bride chose a jersey high necked gown, featuring an attached full hood outlined with pearl trim which fell into an elbow length capelet. The skirt, which was highlighted with pearls, swept into a chapel length train. Attending her sister as maid of honor was Debbie Burke, McHenry. Bridesmaids were friends of the bride, Mrs. Donald Carda of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Mark Ondera, LaSalle. They wore light blue jersey halter dresses with hooded jackets tied in front. All carried one white long stem rose with blue streamers. School friends attended the bridegroom. Best man was Ronald Colberg, with James Blouch and Clayt Strom, groomsmen. All were from DesPlaines. The ushers were Jim Burke and Ronald Fedyski, brothers of the bridal couple. A canary yellow jersey floor length dress, sleeveless, U neck with high neck cape was worn by the bride's mother. She carried yellow jonquils with baby's breath and purple status on an evening bag. The bridegroom's mother chose a long, pink chiffon dress with high jeweled neckline and wore a white orchid. White Elephant Sale Set April 18 By PWP A "white elephant" auction will be featured Friday evening, April 18, at the next general meeting of Parents Without Partners, Chapter 189, Crystal Lake. The general business meeting will be held at the American Legion hall, Woodstock and Oak streets, Crystal Lake, and will begin at 8:30 p.m. With spring housecleaning in progress, all members are asked to bring some of those unused items they might find around their garage, basement, attic, or closet. All items must be usable and can be wrapped for "blind" auction if desired. No wearing apparel will be accepted or auctioned. The usual entrance fee will not be charged for those who bring auction items. Following the nuptial Mass champagne was served at the Burke residence for over 100 guests. A reception followed at the McHenry Country club for 120 guests. The guest book was circulated by the bride's cousin, Tina Jagielski of Chicago. After a wedding trip to Jamaica the young couple will make their home in Schaum- burg. The bride graduated from Marian Central high school and Western Illinois University majoring in physiology and is employed at Elgin State hospital. The bridegroom received his education at Wheeling high and Western Illinois university where he majored in Math. He is em ployed as computer programmer for All State. Honored guests included the bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Novicki of the Johnsburg area and Mrs. Harry Burke of Oak Lawn and the bridegroom's grandmother, Mrs. Steve Fedyski of Ohio. John Bodner, an active member of the chapter, will serve as auctioneer for the evening. All members are urged to participate in this once-a-year event as all proceeds will benefit PWP.
