By Anne Ashley Q. How can I remove slight scratches from plate glass? / A. First rub with a pad of cotton wool. Then cover the pad with a layer of cotton velvet well-charged with fine jeweler's rouge, and this when rubbed over the surface of the glass will not only remove scratches, but will add luster. Q. How can I remove shoe polish stains from clothing? A. Rubbing alcohol usually does a good job with these stains. V Q. How can I set the colors in fabrics? A. Common table salt is good for setting most colors, but epsom salts are even better for washing and rinsing delicately colored fabrics. Dissolve one teaspoon of the salts to each gallon of water. The most delicate shades will not run or fade. Q. How can I eliminate the rather unpleasant odor when cooking shrimp? A. A stick of cinnamon dropped into the water in which the shrimp are boiling will dispel the smell and still not affect the taste. Q How can I add an at tractiveness to the finish of some of my furniture? A. Equal parts boiled linseed oil and turpentine and white vinegar applied with a woolen rag and rubbed with a silk cloth will renew the finish and help conceal some of the smaller blemishes. Q. How can I remove tarnish from silverwpre? A. Lay the silver in a pan of sour milk, allow to remain for at least half a day, then wash it in sudsy water. The tarnish will have vanished. Q. How can I put to practical use the lemon halves from which I have squeezed out all the juice? A. Place them in the refrigerator to absorb odors and add a fragrance of their own. * m When is it finally ours Freedom Liberty Is it needful to man as air Earth Life When does it belong at last to us all Today Tomorrow Is it truly what we want And more Or less When is it finally ours Freedom Liberty Susan Zelvis GOLF ANYONE?
