PAGE 8 - PLAINDEALER-FRIDAY. MAY 9, 1975 •••• Comedy Set Two Weekends "Never Too _Late", Jhe rollicking comedy that ran 1.007 performances in New- York from the fall of 1962 to the Spring of 1965 to become the fourtheenth longest running play in Broadway history to that time, is being brought to the Woodstock Opera House by Townsquare Players, Inc., for four performances beginning $• • £ May 16. Dennis Gaul and Barbara Honquest (Harry and Edith Lambert) play a middle- aged couple going through the hilarious throes of readying a welcome to a new baby long after any more additions to their family could have been expected. For the sixtyish businessman who finds he's going to be a father again, when he feels it's more appropriate to become a grandfather, if anything, the new development is so em barrassing that he takes to wearing dark glasses lest acquaintances may recognize him on the street. His plight is complicated by the fact that his fiftyish spouse not only takes an exasperating joy out of the unlooked-for blessing, but in her delicate condition has an excuse for no longer pampering the whims of the head of the household. Worst of all is the way the situation is taken by the dismayed father's grown daughter and his dapper son-in- law, who are to be portrayed by Pam Messel and Alan Stonum (Kate and Charlie). Additional performances will be given May 17, 23 and 24, with 8:30 p.m. curtain. For tickets or information, phone 675-2066. is % * ^da. du.Ls.Lne.
