The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Dolores Wines of 7812 Oak wood drive, Wonder Lake and the late Leo John Wines. The groom is the son of Mrs. Helen Gust of Wauconda and the late Albert Gust. The newlyweds are now making their home at 639 Darlington lane, Coventry, Crystal Lake. Debbie Steinmetz Weds Keith Winn In Richmond The Community church of Richmond was the scene of the wedding of Debbie Steinmetz and Keith Winn, Saturday, July 19, at 5 o'clock. The Rev. Glen Mensing officiated at the service uniting the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stein metz, 6720 Keystone road, Richmond, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Winn, 9013 Winn road, Richmond, in marriage. The bride was given away by her father. The church was decorated with arrangements of colored daisies and candles. Sharel Nelson sang the "Hawaiian Wedding Song" and "Sometime", accompanied by Charles Kozmier on the organ. The lovely bride chose a candlelight sata peau gown with tucked yolk and peau d'ange lace trimmed bodice, motifs of lace encircled the full sleeves and deep cuffs. A two tiered ruffle of lace edged the hemline and built-in chapel train. She wore a lace covered bonnet accented in ivory ribbon and attached to a long ivory veil. A cousin of the bride, Shirley Steinmetz of Baraboo, Wis., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Marge Jones, Spring Grove, Denise Winn, Sue Winn of Richmond, all sisters of the bridegroom, and Tammy Steinmetz, Ringwood, cousin of the bride. The flower girl was Elizabeth Waddel of Wonder Lake. The bridesmainds wore gowns of chiffon with ivory lace trim in colors of yellow, lavender, blue, mint green and apricot. The flower girl's dress was a flocked chiffon with flowers of all colors of the wedding party. Best man was the bridegroom's cousin, Jeff LaPoint of Rolling Meadows. Groomsmen were Mike Jones, Spring Grove, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Mark Stein metz, brother of the bride, Richmond, Jeff Bychowski, Spring Grove, and Dave Winn, Richmond, brother of the bridegroom. The ring bearer was the bridegroom's nephew, Scott McPherson. Ushers were Dana McPherson, brother-in- law of bridegroom and Allen Steinmetz, cousin of the bride. A reception for 250 guests was held at the Johnsburg community club. Laurie Potter passed the guest book. Mrs. Barb McPherson and Mrs. WendxJJicks were in charge of cutting the cake. "Nutrition For Elderly Next Senior Citizen Program NEW DAUGHTER Steve and Kathi Blake have just sent news of the addition of a ten-month-old baby girl to the family. Little Kelly is coming all the way from Bogota, Colombia, S. America, and will be arriving home at 3122 W. Riverstream as soon as her Colombian passport has been issued, hopefully by Aug. 1. A total of 280 members and guests were in attendance when President Kenneth Bowsher called the McHenry Senior Citizens club meeting to order last week. It was announced the program for the meeting Monday evening, July 28, will be a talk by Mrs. Isabelle Brody, dietician at McHenry hospital on "Nutrition for the Elderly". This should be a most informative and interesting program. The program following the smorgasbord dinner will be presented by the McHenry Senior Citizens club kitchen band. Herbert Sass spoke about the McHenry County Senior Citizens council and urged all club members to join. The dues are very nominal and the returns for all McHenry county senior citizens are great, as much money has been awarded by the federal government to be used to*; benefit the "older Americans". Members were also advised that Saturday, July 26, at 1 p.m. is the time for auditions at the grandstand at the McHenry County Fair, and Friday, Aug. 1, at 1 p.m. is Senior Citizens day. The program for the last meeting consisted of two belly dancers, Mrs. Diana Ruffin and Mrs. Barbara Anderson, both local ladies, both married, both housewives, one the mother of an eight-year old son and a part time hairdresser. Both still having enough energy to belly dance. It was an unusual program and everyone seemed to have an enjoyable time. Watergate Cake Among Blue Ribbon Finalists 1945 MCHS Class Reunion Memories of boys with crew cuts, girls in bobby socks, Glenn Miller's band, gas rationing, and world War Two, were all brought back with greetings of, "Hi Twig", "Ade coming?", "Hi Wimpy", "Who's that girl?" "Is Toots here?" The McHenry Community high school class of 1945, (with their husbands and wives) met for a reunion July 12 at Branded Steak House in Crystal Lake. After thirty years, name tags were definitely needed as the girls had become more attractive, and the boys more distinguished looking. After a delicious dinner, Dean McCrackfen, former class president, welcomed everyone there, and thanked the com mittee. Henry Nell presented Charles Martin, with a map of McHenry for having traveled the far thest. Charlie, who lives in Greenwich, Conn., remarked, "I wouldn 't miss a reunion for anything." Other prizes were awarded the couple married the longest, the mother with the youngest child, the baldest male, the man with the longest hair, the grandparent with the oldest grandchild. Gov. Dan Walker will attend the final bake-off to present the awards. Last year, the governor entered his own yellow cake (topped with strawberries, marshmajlows and an American flag) in the competition, but lost out to grand champion, Edith Cooper, of Marshall in Clark county. Contestants from all of Illinois submitted their favorite recipes this year for cakes, pies, cookies, breads, coffee cakes and non-baked desserts, a new category in the bake-off this year. The recipes selected to compete were evaluated and judged by a team of qualified home economists. A team of judges will evaluate entries for their taste, texture and ap pearance. Women Of >The Moose Installation was held for the Women of the Moose Chapter 1348 recently. Installing officers were in- stall/tig governor, Don Humann; installing chaplain, Marge Fernstrom; and in stalling guide, Carolyn Sima. New elected officers for the forthcoming year are senior regent, Marge Granath; junior regent, Vi Haack; chaplain, Ann Eberle; treasurer, Ruth Simonson; and recorder Monique Kopp. Appointed officers are guide, Carole Humman; assistant guide, Pearl Koester; sentinal, Bertha English; argus, Pat Knapik; and musician, Eunice Tobey. Chairmen who were installed include College of Regents, Ethel Hagberg, ritual director Eileen Hodgson, and publicity, Cathy Humann. Retiring senior regent, Eleanor Haerle, will assume the post of junior graduate regent. The ceremony was brief but beautiful. Corsages were presented to all retiring and incoming officers and chair men and gifts were presented by the retiring senior regent to all her officers and chairmen. Refreshments and a social hour followed the ceremony for all participants, members and guests McHenry Chapter 1348, Women of the Moose, also held College of Regents night recently. There were guests from DesPlaines and Harvard, and thirty members attended. The meeting was called to order by Senior Regent Marge Granath and guest, Helen Rohr, of DesPlaines took over as senior regent. Chairman Eileen Hodgson introduced twelve quests for the evening. The speaker was Dorothy Tucker of DesPlaines. College of Regents member, Ila Hogan, received her red stole during a beautiful ceremony. Investment was made by Carolyn Sima. Corsages were given to the guest senior regent and speaker, investing officer, Carol Sima, and Red Stole girl, Ila Hogan. Gifts were given to all College of Regents at tending.
