The special service came as a conclusion to a period of study together to prepare the new members for a meaningful and informed church membership. A get acquainted and fellowship evening in honor of the new members is being planned by Evangelism Director Dennis Polewaczyk in the near future. The class members include George Barker, Ida Barker, David Lee, Cheryl Lee, Darlene Cedergren and John Olsson. Laughter has its-' springs in some kind of meanness or deformity. Registration Remains Open For Day Camp "Ahoy Landlubbers" is the theme for day camp 1975. This is the last chance for girls to register for five days of fun in the out-of-doors. Service Of Confirmation A service of adult Con­ firmation culminated a period of study for members of the adult confirmation class at" Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church, 404 North Green street, McHenry, Sunday. At an ap­ propriate time in the worship service the members of the class presented themselves at the^iltar rail for the brief service of adult confirmation. Each member of the class received the confirmation blessing and a certificate of church membership from Pastor Roger Schneider. Following the service the class Cardiologist To Speak For Diabetes Group "Cardiac Problems of the Diabetic" will be discussed by Honeid Baxamusa, M.D., cardiologist of Crystal Rake, at the Aug 5 meeting of the McHenry county unit. A m e r i c a n D i a b e t e s association The program, open to all interested persons, will be presented in the assembly room of the First Security Bank of Cary Grove, 45 Northwest highway, Cary. at 8 p.m. next Tuesday Dr. Baxamusa, formerly chief of the Intensive and Coronary-Care unit at Cook County hospital and acting chairman of the cardiology department there, is now a member of the medical staff at McHenry hospital, chairman of the Library committee, and member of the Pharmacy- Therapeutics and the Emergency Room-Outpatients Services committees. He is on the active staff at Cook County hospital and has been clinical assistant professor of medicine for the Chicago Medical school. Crystal Lake, or Gayle Gustafson. secretary (312) 639- 4404 Changes In Tractor Pull Event Listed Changes in the Tractor Pull events at the McHenry County Fair have been made, Everett Hunter, chairman, 'announced this week. The Saturday, noon show before the grandstand audience will include hot rods, garden tractors and antiques. This was held on a different day last year, Hunter said in explaining the ^ reason for his an­ nouncement. One major change concerns the farm, tractor pulls scheduled at noon on Sunday. Weight classes have been established for the 1975 pull as follows: Up to 7,500 pounds- light weight class; 7,000 to 9,000 pounds-medium weight class; 9,000 to 12,000 pounds-light , heavy weight class; and 12,000 to 16,000 pounds-heavy weight class. • Hunter said tractors will be weighed at McHenry FS on Route 47 near the fairgrounds.
