It appears that there is a con flict between science and the Bible. Those of us who are Christians need to be able to find some rationale to resolve this problem. Is there such a conflict, in your opinion? The Bible is scientific and in harmony with the facts of science, and I personally af firm that the Bible does con tain scientific truths, even though the facts are stated in BIRTHS HARVARD HOSPITAL Mr. and Mrs. Albert Stock- well, McHenry, became parents of a son, Sept. 6. MEMORIAL HOSPITAL WOODSTOCK On Sept. 5 Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Karmel, McHenry, welcomed twins, a boy and a girl. McHENRY HOSPITAL Mr. and Mrs. Edward Budnik, McHenry, became parents of a son, Sept. 3. There were many books contemporary with the Bible which contained scien tific errors. The Bible did not contain these errors. The Bib le is in harmony with modern science in that it has antici pated many of the discoveries of recent centuries. Scientific facts were recorded in the Bible thousands of years ago, though it was not the primary purpose of the Bible to be come a science textbook. There is no conflict between true science and the Bible. All of the various theories on the subject of evolution are only theories and cannot and have not been proven. I am con tinually amazed that there are many facts in the Bible which have been borne out by scien tific discoveries. Once the Bible was considered in error, but as new truths have been found, the Bible has been proven right.
