"We even gave him artificial respiration--but he kept getting up and walking away." % "WHOA!!!" The Girls Athletic Association at McHenry high school is offering* a new and exciting course this year -- horseback riding. Every Thursday the girls sign up in the physical education offices and are given free bus transportation to and from the stables. Lazy "C" Stables located on Rt. 120 in Round Lake, seems to be going out of its way to make it an enjoyable experience for the girls. Tips on riding and horses are constantly being given for better understanding of horsemanship. Mrs. Whitaker, the G.A.A. sponsor, says, "Not only are the girls having a lot of fun, but it's a great educational experience." So far approximately forty-five different girls have enjoyed G.A.A.'s new activity and there are many more waiting their turn. If you hear loud cries of "giddy-up" and "whoa", don't worry, it's just the G.A.A. girls coming home from a hard day on the trail!
