"On Sunday, Jan. 11, the McHenry Jaycees presented a check in the amount of $1,000 to the McHenry County Senior Citizen's council." according to Marge Jones, executive director for the council. "The Jaycees raised this money through their annual Christmas tree sale, and this year they decided to donate part of their profit to us." "Although the council recieves a grant from the federal government, it would be impossible to provide the type of service we have been providing without additional financial support," continued Mrs. Jones. "In order to con tinue to receive grant monies, the council is required to come up with a certain amount of matching funds from local organizations. This con tribution from the Jaycees will be a big help in assisting us to meet our match for this year." Harry Semrow, president and Doug Miller, vice-president of the McHenry Jaycees, presented the check to Art Lichter, treasurer of the council. Other board members that attended the presentation were Marvin Browning, president; Mrs. Virginia Luzwick, vice-president; Mrs. Grace Sass, secretary, Henry Markison and Herb Sass," said Mrs. Jones. "The council is very grateful to the Jaycees of McHenry for being one of the first service organizations to recognize the needs of the council," con cluded Mrs. Jones. ft >'-V "MEANWHILE BACK AT THE COLKTHOUSE" BRANCH COURT III Associate Circuit Judge Robert McQueen Robert J.
