"Our. mission," says Mrs. Sharon Cullen, county chair­ man for the March of Dimes, "is to lead, direct, and unify the .fight to prevent birth defects and their consequences." What happens to the funds collected? The chapter sends 60 percent to the national headquarters and *40 percent stays in McHenry county. This year alone contributions have enabled the McHenry county chapter to provide : I.-A grant of $10,873.00 to Memorial Hospital for McHenry County for a fetal heart monitoring system. 2.-A grant of $11,045.00 to McHenry hospital for a fetal heart monitoring system. 3.-A pledge of $2,000 for an isolette for a proposed Crystal Lake branch of Sherman hospital. 4.-H,000.00 in nursing scholarships to McHenry County college for 1975-76. There were two recipients from Crystal Lake, one from Woodstock, and one from Harvard. 5.-$2,000 to Harvard hospital for an isolette for the nursery. 6.-A symposium on the Pregnant Teenager was offered to and attended by school nurses from the county. 7.-A symposium on Perinatal Health was offered to and at­ tended by two Woodstock physicans. 8.*5.000 to the State Perinatal program from the chapter. •.-The book, Is My Baby All Right? by V. Willie is a tenor soloist who sang with the Kathi Kuhlman choir in Pitt Pa., for eighteen years, accepted Jesus Christ as personal Saviour under tag ministry of Miss Kuhlman. ;• His ministry now includes song leading, solos and leaching. Willie Murphy identifies his song ministry as being closely knit to scripture 'r enlightenment. "People want to hear the truth from the Bible concerning the Holy Spirit and how to allow Him a place in their daily lives. It is normal to begin meetings with praise and worship-singing, so hearts will be made ready and open lo receive the word of God," he said.
