There seems to be no sense in politicians telling so many lies about each other. Isn't the truth bad enough? The book says children are reared - not raised. For our part, we like to see them well raised instead of well reared. Next Sunday is wind-up day for the C.O.F. State Basketball Tournament. Besides some good games between teams who have fought their way to the finals, you will see top flight en tertainment. Hope to see the excitement of the windup. It's a tremendous job to handle a tournament of this size. They must like it up this way. The powers that be have chosen to come back many times. Look forward to seeing a high school baseball game here Monday ~ 4:30 p.m. The Carmel varsity will be here. Since our card schedule does not agree with the complete spring schedule for all sports, here is how it is until we can find room to get full in formation in next week. As in the past, we will print schedules through a certain date, then pick up more at that time... 1 -• n,Xv. .... -- ^3S&X. Mon., - Mar. 29 - Baseball - Carmel Varsity - here - 4:30. IW< Warriors Honored It was also good to hear county sports writers comment on the class shown by our coach and players. They referred to the class in their conduct. That does a great service to our school and our community. The pre-conference favorite is Libertyville, with Zion, Barrington and the Warriors all fighting for the top spot. "EARL WALSH So I Hear It was fun to get together with coaches, players, parents and friends as the county newspapers honored high school basketball greats Tuesday night in the Marian Central cafeteria. The county sports banquet was a new idea and one that A SPORTS EDITOR I will no doubt be repeated in the years to come. We won't go into the full details since Dick Rabbitt has promised a story and Larry Lund has a picture. It was a proud feeling to see all of our five starters and Coach Ludwig receiving honors.
