Appear In Concert THE BENTONS The Bentons, singers of gospel music, were scheduled to appear at The Alliance church, 3815 W. Bull Valley road in McHenry, Tuesday, March 30, 1976, at 7:30 p.m. The Bentons are D. Dean Benton, his wife, Carole, and her sister, Joyce Kulp. The Bentons are native Iowans, but claim Mokena, 111., as home. Dean pastored the United Methodist Church in Mokena prior to entering gospel music ministry full-time. The trio began singing together in August of 1970. Since that time they have appeared in hundreds of con certs in over twenty-five denominations. They have sung in well over half the United States and Ontario, Canada. The Bentons use or chestration from their four albums. During concerts Carole plays the piano, and Joyce plays the bass while singing. The three are said to have one of the best blends in Gospel music today.
