"May 2-8 is Clean Air week across the nation and the Lung associations are sponsoring a White Hat award for the 'good guys' who have voluntarily complied with air pollution standards before legal action was necessary. We are looking for industries particularly deserving of recognition and of which communities can be proud" said Drewes. "The product that is manufactured, the major potential pollutant as a result of that product, and the action that was voluntarily taken to abate or control the air pollution will be the major factors in the decisions to recognize the industries for the 'White Hat' award."
