There will be both pre registration and registration at 9:00 a.m. the day of the race. The race will start at 10:00a.m. sharp. Put in and take out will be at the same point. There will be plenty of parking one block away from the McHenry Public Beach. Watch for signs as you come into town. Most Illinois canoe paddling association classes will be offered along with a special Senior Citizen class. The race will be held rain or shine. The river will be patrolled by the U.S. Coast Guard along the ten mile course. U.S. Life preservers are required. Trophies will be awarded and everyone finishing the race will receive s patch.
