Young street. McHenry will be among members of the University of Illinois concert choir when they perform in the Great hall Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, Sunday, April 25. In colonial days, music, especially singing, was the favorite recreation of the people, from the founding fathers to the foot soldiers who fought in Washington's army, according to Professor Harold Decker who conducts the fifty- four voice choir. Sunday's special Bicen tennial concert traces the course of the American Revolution in music, from tavern songs to popular music to hymns and anthems. Narrators from the choir will help to set the scene for the audience. V. PAGE 7 • PLAINDEALERWEDNESDAY. APRIL 21.
