Hart, 4002 White street, Solon Mills, placed on two year's probation for the burglary of Pat's supper Club, Solon Mills on Dec. 28, 1975; burglary of the Clarence An­ derson building in Spring Grove on Feb. 3, 1976 and for possession of cannabis on Aug. 31, 1975. Besides probation, Hart was ordered to make restitution on or before Sept. 1, 1976 and he is to serve four consecutive weekends in McHenry county jail com­ mencing May 14. Two other charges of theft over $150 and two charges of criminal damage to property in con­ nection with the burglaries were not prosecuted on a motiohby the State's Attorney. Gregory Parker, 48 Ernest '^enue, Fox Lake, placed on two year's probation for the burglary of Pat's supper Club, Solon Mills on DeC. 28, 1975. Besides probation, Parker was ordered to make restitution on or before Sept. 1, 1976 and he is to serve four consecutive weeknds in McHenry county jail commencing May 14. Two other charges of theft over $150 and two charges of criminal damage to property were not prosecuted on a motion by the State's Attorney, Eugene Lehman, 400 Church, Harvard, guilty of theft over $150, sentenced to 1-3 years in the penitentiary with credit given for time served. Carroll Ray Holmes, Lake Zurich, sentenced to serve 2-6 . years in the penitentiary with credit given for time served on two charges of burglary. Dale A. Scholar, 231 Vine, Huntley, placed on two year's probation for one charge of theft over $150 and one charge of burglary. He is to make restitution and is permitted to move to the state of Wisconsin. His probation will be tran­ sferred to that state. Ralph Hanner, 5111 Terra Cotta, Crystal Lake, guilty of indecent liberties with a child on April 2, 1974, placed on 18 fnonth's probation. Supervision will be transferred to Madison City, II. Donald E. Taylor, Reynoldsburg, Oh., formerly of Carpentersville, placed on two year's probation on a charge of aggravated battery concerning county police on May 15, 1975. Probation supervision will be transferred to the state of Ohio. Two other charges of aggravated battery, resisting a peace officer and criminal damage to property were not prosecuted on a motion by the State s Attorney. COMPLAINTS Officer Gary Wigman charges that on May 13, Richard P. Weiss of Route 14, Crystal Lake, committed the offense of disorderly conduct in that he did use obscene language in a loud voice while outside McHenry Community high school. Bond set at $25, court date May 20. Sgt. Duane Lange charges that on May 15, John R. Mansfield of 9304 Alden road, Alden, committed the offenses of aggravated battery, resisting a peace officer and disorderly conduct in that he did refuse to leave the apart­ ment of Susan Mansfield when requested to do so and did strike said officer while in the performance of his duties which was to arrest Mansfield. Bond set at $6,025, court date May 24. Officer William Zujewski charges that on May 15, John R. Mansfield of 9304 Alden road, Alden, committed the offenses of aggravated battery and resisting a peace officer in that he did strike said officer while he was in the performance of his duties which was to place Mansfield under arrest. Bond set at $6,000, court date May 24. Deputy Sheriff Robert L. Joosten charges that on May 15, Anthony S. Gurski of 8109 Route 31, Richmond, committed the offenses of reckless conduct, unlawful use of weapons and possession of firearm without requisite firearms owner's identification card in that he did endanger the bodily safety of Joseph P. Sepanek by pointing an automatic pistol at him. Bond set at $3,000, court date May 20. 4-H CONFERENCE VARIETY Workshops and rap sessions, dances and concerts, and a variety of recreational ac­ tivities await delegates to the 1976 Illinois State 4-H con­ ference. The conference will be held on the campus of the University of Illinois, June 22 through 25, and is open to youth of high school age or older. So lopsided was the vote that it was evident several coun- cilmen were opposed to someone on the list being granted permission to sell liquor. Yet on one alderman's motion to approve blanket action but exclude two con­ troversial establishments, he did not even receive a second, the motion died, and the matter went to the Mayor for action. This reluctance to act was in such contrast to the straight­ forward manner taken in op­ position to petitions from more than 1,600 signers to save the bridge, it could not go un­ noticed. It is one thing to respect a difference of opinion with public officials. It is another to respect the silence of public officials with an opinion. One can only ask, "Who is the bogeyman?" K.A.F. James street, McHenry. received injuries when his motorcyc.e hit a big rock in the road on Lillian street, just east of Sioux lane Wagner told police he was w est-bound on Lillian street last Sunday morning about 11 o'clock when he saw the rock in the street after he crossed the railroad tracks.
