Illinois Rag. 10.87 No. 220. 20 placa SAE Metric sockot sat by Ray one out of every four vets at tending* MCC got either high honors or honors in their in dividual field of study. There are many reasons for publishing these statistics. The most important, of course, is to congratulate these people for their diligence and academic excellence. The second reason is to show all the vets across the county that would like to be in school, but are fearful of not doing well, there are, people that can and do come out on top in the "Battle of the Books". Everyone is aware it is tax money that is funding the veteran's education. The ob vious question is-how often does the taxpayer get such a profitable return on his-her investment? State and Federal legislators have before them proposed legislation that will severely limit the individual ad vancement of our ex- servicemen. In the interest of good sound investments and appreciation for the patriotic service given by our veterans, they have been asked by the Illinois Veterans Congress to dispose of the ten-year delimiting date on any educational benefits. For those interested in any further veteran information, or if whoever cares to know more about the pending veteran legislation and how they can help, call the Office of Veteran Affairs at MCC, 455-3700, ex tension 264.
