In Flight B, Ben Clelini over Frank Johnson, Mo Domato beat Jack Smith, Geo. Rusty Nail was led by Dave Sundby's 2 for 3; Bill Huff hit safely once with one run scored and Jim Lay punched out a homerun plus 2 RBI's MUSEUM REOPENS The Dickson Mounds State museum in Fulton county, which has been closed for repairs, reopened July 17. The museum houses relics of native American civilization which are from 700 to 1,000 years old. Excavations of burial mounds are on display and the story of mounds and the people who built them is explained to museum visitors. Admission is free. Refreshments are sold and picnic facilities are located at the museum. The winners were led by Scott Stull's 2 for 3; Bill Haak had 2 hits as did Ron Buss. Buss had a double plus a big two run homer which proved to be the decisive hit of the game. The Cork left too many on base again as they dropped their third game in the last four. They scored their runs on Mark Hansen's RBI single, driving in Bill Cable. Guy Hansen doubled in the sixth and scored on Norb Adams sacrifice fly: Denny Summercamp had singled moving Hansen to third to set up the sacrifice. The McHenry Marathon, a distance run of approximately eight miles* between McHenry and Johnsburg has grown in three line shots at third off the bats of The Chalet. Bud Smith made a super stop of a ground ball behind second base and then threw out the runner. Tom Schmitt caught a line shot to the mound Dan Stanowski and Ray Franklin made some nifty catches in the outfield. Paul Adams and Twig Miller each caught an "infield fly" which could have gone for two "Texas league" hits.
