Prepare Quilt For Bazaar PAGE 3 - PLAINDEALER-WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 20. 1*7f Zion Ladies Aid members are again hard at work preparing for Iheir annual Fall Bazaar, which will be held Wednesday, Nov. 10, from 1 to 7 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran church. Shown above are some of ihe Zion Ladies Aid members quilting one of the two full-sized quilts which will be sold by silent auction at the bazaar. The bazaar will also feature many lovely handmade items, along with a bake sale, a plant sale and the Country Store which offers homemade candies and preserves. MEMORIAL HOSPITAL WOODSTOCK Patients admitted to Memorial hospital, Woodstock recently included Emma Toepper, Gerhard Kuhlen, Ronald Freeman, Ben Segermark, Ardella Nelson, Barbara Buccaro, Rena Benedict, David Knox, McHenry; Louise Hansen, Master Ricky Price, Janice Peterson, Master Eric Des Lauries, Bernice Favero, Lila Mrowka, Wonder Lake; Yvonne Petska, Spring Grove. HARVARD HOSPITAL Mrs. Harold Nixon of McHenry was admitted as a patient to Harvard hospital. Deaths EMILH DeRIDDER Emil H DeRidder, 74 of 4603 Ashley drive, Whispering Oaks, died Sunday,Oct. 17 at McHenry hospital. Mr. DeRidder was born Oct. 2, 1902, in Gehert, Belgium, the son of Charles and Mary (VanHulle) DeRidder. The deceased was a con­ struction electrician with the Chicago Electrical Union 134 for fifty years. He belonged to the Masonic Willing Lodge No. 1115 of Chicago. He is survived by his widow, Rose (Kleich) DeRidder, whom he married in 1922 in Crown Point. In.; two sisters, Mrs. Marvin (Josephine) Van- Boxtalle, Chicago, and Mrs. Clementine Hughes, Skokie, also a nephew. Charles Mer- curio, Crystal Lake. He was preceded in death by a son, Emil, Jr., in 1948. Visitation was scheduled for Wednesday from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Querhammer funeral home. Crystal Lake. Masonic rituals will be conducted at 8 p.m. Pastor Roger W. Schneider will officiate at services Thursday at 10:30a.m. Interment will be in Irving Park cemetery, Chicago. WILLIAM E. FITZGERALD William E. FitzGerald, 66, brother of a McHenry resident, died in St. Mary's hospital, Roswell, N.M. Friday, Oct. 15. The former Crystal Lake resident had made his home at 31 Del Norte drive, Roswell, N.M. at the time of his death. Mr. FitzGerald was born April 1, 1910, in Crystal Lake, the son of Michael and Martha (Salzman) FitzGerald. The deceased was a retired advertising manager of Can­ teen corporation, Merchandise Mart, Chicago. Survivors include his wife, Catherine (Miles) FitzGerald, whom he married in July, 1939, in Crystal Lake; two daughters, Mrs. William (Shelia) Groden, Crystal Lake and Mrs. David (Elizabeth) Claypool, Naples, Fl.; a brother, Homer of McHenry; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Mary) Malone, Mcintosh, Mn., and a granddaughter, Meghan. Visitation was scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Warner & Flagg funeral home, Crystal Lake, with wake ser­ vices at 8 p.m. The Rev. Leo H. Ambre will offer Mass at St. Thomas Catholic church Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Crystal Lake Memorial Park cemetery with military services graveside under the auspices of William Chandler Peterson Post 171. ELSIE ANNA JOHNSON Elsie Anna Johnson, 70 of C r o c k e t t ' s s u b d i v i s i o n , Ingleside, died Saturday, Oct. 16, in McHenry hospital She was the mother of Mrs. Robert (Alice) Ort of Richmond. Mrs. Johnson was born Oct. 27, 1905, in Sweden and came to the United States at the age of 17. She had made her home in Ingleside for the past seventeen years. The deceased was a member of Trinity Lutheran church, Long Lake. Survivors are her husband, Simon H. Johnson, with whom she would have celebrated her fortieth wedding anniversary next December , one daughter, Mrs Ort; three grandchildren, one sister, Dagmar Winn, of McHenry; one brother living in Sweden; nieces and nephews. Four brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.
