Such payment may be made at the Office of the Village Clerk and a receipt shallbe issued for all money so received, and such money shall be promptly turned over to the Treasurer to be credited to the General Fund. HERE AND THERE IN BUSINESS 2,BOO Christmas Club Checks Will Be Mailed Nov. 2 Tuesday, Nov. 2, the McHenry State bank will mail in excess of one-half million in checks to more than 2,800 Christmas club members. Local merchants will be interested in knowing that surveys show approximately one-third of the amount saved is actually used for Christmas shopping and a similar amount is usually converted into a savings account, the remaining balance is normally used to pay bills or to make a down payment on a major purchase.
