Area Residents Active In 3-Day Tax Workship Nutritious Frozen Tarts George J. Young, McHenry County Extension adviser reports that thirty-two persons from McHenry county enrolled for the recent TeleNet Workshop for Beginning In come Tax preparers fn Woodstock, sponsored by the University of Illinois Cooperative Extension service. The 3-day workshop provided intensive instruction for figuring and filing income tax returns of farmers and urban citizens. Young says the workshop was specifically planned for persons who have little or no experience in preparing in come tax returns for others and who wished to become more competent. Farmers and others are urged by Young to seek the counsel of competent income tax practitioners and con sultants. The help of a well- informed tax practitioner is well worth the cost. Persons who enrolled for the workshop from McHenry county included: Kennis Brannock, Paul A. Schwegel representatives, Mrs. James Hutchings, Kathy Krysiak and Mrs. Carl Rietesel of McHenry and Evelyn L. Adams and Florence Mazan of Wonder Lake. wT FUNNYSIDE 'HAVE A PREDICTABLY GOOD DAY, DEAR. i CRESCENT <$AY~ t 1 <5,AlQ)INg PRESENTS Holiday Dinner Specials FOR DECEMBER • TUESDAY BREAST OF CHICKEN SESAME Marinated boneless breast sauteed with sesame sauce. • WEDNESDAY COQUIUES CRESCENT BAY Scallop casserole in lobster sauce • THURSDAY BEEF B0URGUIGN0NNE COMPLETE DINNERS WITH WINE $495 (Regular menu also available) GOURMET LUNCHEON From '2.85 Wednesday & Friday, 11:30 - 2:30 p.m. MAKE NEW YEAR'S EVE RESERVATIONS NOW 815/385-8899 CRESCENT BAY LANDING 3309 N. PAGE 19 - PLAINDEALER-FRIDAY, DECEMBER 10. 1976 Snacks like Peter Pansicles can play an important part in the daily nutrition game. These frozen treats-on-sticks combine peanut butter with milk and yogurt. Chocolate sauce adds flavor variation. The yummy result is a coach's favorite that will appeal to kids of all ages. It's a nutritional snack, since peanut butter is an excellent source of protein, niacin and other vitamins and minerals. Milk and milk-based yogurt are excellent sources of calcium. Preparing the pansicles is easy. Fluted paper baking cups in a muffin pan give the pansicles a ridged design as they freeze. When ready to eat, the paper is easy to peel away. Wooden sticks can be inserted in the mixture as it freezes. Or for a dessert, omit the sticks and serve the individual molds in a dish.
