Meeting 7:30 Spring Grove Eva Freund 675-2135 Santa And Sing-A-Long At Pot luck Party Everyone is celebrating. There are Christmas parties everywhere. The Christian Mothers Society of St. Peter's parish held their party irmhe parish hall one recent eve­ ning. It was a potluck dinner with, the tables beautifully decorated for the occasion. Entertainment was the singing of a quartet made up by members of the society, Jeanette Todey, Evelyn May, Janet May and Isabelle Miller, Mary Irene Kagan played a medley of Christmas songs on the piano. Julia May a- V Isabelle Miller were accom­ panists for the singing and for a sing-a-long. Santa arrived with sleigh bells ringing and distributed gifts for the gift exchange. SCHOOLPROGRAM On the same night pupils of Spring Grove Elementary school presented their Christmas program at the school. The hall was filled to capacity and all present en­ joyed the "Christmas Story" TURKEY, ETC. On Dec. 13, a 1 p.m. dinner was served, at the home of Luella May to the members of her club. Turkey and all the goodies that go with it were on the menu. There was a gift exchange and afternoon at cards. WOMEN'S CLUB The Lotus Country Woman club's annual Christmas party was held at Orsolini's Dec. 15. About forty members and their guests enjoyed a delicious dinner of chicken breast croquettes and rice. There was a beautifully decorated cake which was served. Rudolph, also that Stella Dtfneen is recovering from surgery and back home. Those having birthdays were greeted and received gifts. Secret Pals were revealed and given gifts. / ' To make the painty complete, Santa made an , appearance with a cheery Ho! Ho! Ho! and distributed gifts to all. He gave a humorous narration of his experiences on his way with his sleigh and reindeer. The club's next meeting will be Jan. 19 at noon at Town hall. There will be a bake sale. Cards and bunco will be played.. CAROLERS On Sunday night, Dec. 19, Christmas carolers made up of a group from the Snow-Grover Snowmobile club stopped at the homes of senior citizens in town, serenaded them with Christmas songs and gave out plates of Christmas' cookies. What a beautiful gesture. PARISH CHILDREN Children from the Christian Doctrine classes of St. Peter's parish presented an impressive Christmas program in church Sunday, Dec. 19. Refreshments were served in the hall following the program. Christmas vacation for CCD classes are Dec. 26 and Jan. 2. Classes will resume Jan. 9. CHRISTENING The infant son of Jack and Beverly Schmitt was christened Ryan Paul Sunday, Dec. 12 at St, Peter's church.
