On Saturday night the Warriors trailed early in the game 9 to 0, but fought back to a 21 to 21 tie at the in­ termission Brett Thomas's basket with seconds remaining enabled the sophs to pick up the win. Scott Hall was the only winner for the Warriors, when he won the 50 yd. freestyle in 23.4. TEAM SCORES Lake Forest * - Libertyville 65 McHenry 57 Dundee 35 Stevenson 20 Crown 20 Woodstock 7 Other Warriors who placed in the meet were as follows: In the 200 Medley Relay the team of Chris Topp, Dino Folz, Bob Berry and Scott Hall placed second. Jim Hall was 3rd in the 200 freestyle. In the 200 I.M. Jim Murray was 3rd and Bob Berry 6th. Hall won the 50 yd. freestyle, and Don Opfer was 5th. Berry was 4th in the 100 butterfly, Scott Hall finished 2nd in the 100 freestyle, and Don Opfer 5th. Jim Hall was 3rd in the 500 yd. freestyle. Jim Murray 2nd in the 100 yd. backstroke. And the 400 yd. relay team of Don Opfer, Tom Cahill, Jim Murray and Jim Hall placed second. FROSH-SOPH The Warriors also placed v, third in the frosh-soph division. Bill Henrich was the only Warrior winner as he won the 100 yd. breaststroke in 1:11. Howie Useman, Don Freund and Bob Larke all took second place finishes, thus ensuring their trip to Barrington. The meet which was held at Woodstock was easily won by Grant of Fox Lake. RECYCLING In conjunction with the McHenry County Defenders, students from the Education for Life program at McHenry high school East campus will be working at the monthly recycling drive at the Mc­ Henry Market Place Satur­ day, Feb. 19. They will be there ready to unload bundled newspapers, clean glass bottles, flattened steel cans and all-aluminum products from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. and prepare them for the next step in the process of recycling. The Education for Life program is a sophomore op­ tional school at East campus. Forty students and six teachers are involved in an in­ terdisciplinary approach to education. This program ephasizes the use of resources outside the classroom in order to enrich the student's education.
