Villagers were invited to voice their opinions, and surprisingly enough, about thirty or so concerned residents showed up for the meeting. Nothing was decided at the meeting, but anyone who had anything to say had a chance to get it off his chest, and that's what board meetings are for. BEACH GALS The McCullom Lake Beach Gals met Wednesday, March 2, where they finalized plans for the plant and bake sale which will be held Saturday, March 12, at the beach house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you have any plants or baked goods you would like -to donate, please contact any Beach Gal, and she will make sure your donations get to the beach house. HOWDY Gil and Pat Anderson are sort of new residents of our village, residing at 5000 W. Fountain lane. The Andersons have one daughter, Heather, who is 5, and are expecting a new baby in late summer. Gil works in Wheeling, and Pat works in Deerfield, and even with all that driving every day, the Andersons find time to enjoy bowling. Gil is also a CB'er, and Pat has just joined the Beach Gals. Howdy to you all. NOTICE I have been asked to tell everyone who has an ice shack on the lake to remove it as soon as possible. Your friendly, neighborhood vandals have been wrecking them, and pretty soon some are going to fall right through the ice, and then the lake will be full of rotten wood. ATTENTION Just a reminder, girls, that the Softball registration starts March 12, and goes on until the twenty-sixth. So Moms and Dads, give us a hand with this, and remind your daughters. Baseball is a good, healthy, and fun sport. The girls mix with others, get their exercise, learn the game, and laugh together. Everyone has a good time, so get those forms from Joan Bitterman.
