I need your help to remedy this problem. I'm fairly new in the village, which translated means I wasn't born and raised here as so many residents have been, and I inherited the lists from someone else. If the information I print about you or someone you know is wrong, please let me know, but you needn't bit my head off. If I've skipped your big day, it's because I don't have it in my file, and you only have to give me a call to get a card made for your family. I'm only too happy to print birthdays and anniversaries, but I need your help to get them all straight. Village of McHenry Shores Jude La Francis . 385-5067 Ordinances Passed Despite Indifference The regular meeting of the village board was held March 16 at the village hall annex. The vandalism ordinance making parents responsible for the vandalism of their children was passed. The swimming pool ordinance and an ordinance establishing salaries for the elected officials were also passed. The road conditions within the village again were a topic of discussion. The extremely cold winter spelled disaster for our roads. Many roads are impassable as a result of large, gaping holes Winning down the center and sides of the roads. The road is closed indefinitely at Broadway and the creek until permanent construction is completed in approximately one month. The streets and water committee called a special meeting Saturday, March 19, to consider road improvements. The next meeting of the village board is scheduled for April 6. There has been little response from the residents of the village during the past few months. Ordinances were discussed and passed without much feedback from the people of the village. Hopefully, this represents a satisfied rather than disin- physical education major. She had been actively involved in dramatics during the past year. terested attitude on the part of the residents.
