If you haven't signed up to go camping but would like to go call Althea Walkington for details. If wishing to join us Sunday for dinner, there is a charge per person for the afternoon FISHERMEN Tina and Earl Betts and Tina's niece, Debbie, and husband, Bob Bailey, went fishing up on the Wolf river for Mother's day weekend. They had a ball and said the fishing was really terrific. They caught their quota and had lots to eat. The weather was really warm and enjoyable. IOWA BOUND That Cindy Baker just takes off and leaves these parts when she has a couple of days off from work. She and her dad, Art Baker, went to Strawberry Point, Iowa last week, Thur­ sday and Friday to visit Cindy's two grandmas for one of their eighty-eighth birthdays and Mother's day. MOTHER S DAY VISITORS Mia and Tom Walkington spent the weekend with Tom's parents, the Paul Walkingtons for Mother's day. Lee Walkington was one of the West campus chorus members to spend the weekend in Kansas City, Mo., at World's of Fun. And I guess they had world's of fun. Walt and Doris Low, Ray and Tom, Patti Miller, Scott and Lee; Walt and Alice Mae Wilcox and Dan Hansen of Woodstock John Madey, Sue Erwin and children, Mabel Thomas and Bob and Sue Low all spent a fun day with Pam and Dan Kehoe at Elkhorn, Wis. Baseball was the order of the day and a , lot of sore muscles the next day. A phone call was received from Linda in Dubuque and also from Donna in California. MOTHERS HONORED /V- Two mothers were honored during services Sunday at the Ringwood United Methodist church. Flowers were presented to Mrs. Nellie Hepburn as the oldest mother present and to Mrs. Gary Marcellis as the youngest mother present. Church school children presented special music during the service. As the congregation left church, each mother was presented with a small begonia plant. DAUGHTER BAPTIZED Jennifer Marcellis, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Marcelfts of Wonder Lake, was baptized by Rev. James Segin during services Sunday, TRAVEL NORTH Mr. and Mrs. Art Christopher and son, Dave, travelled to northern Wisconsin last weekend to spend Mother's day with Art's folks, the Clarence Christophers. Katy and Dave went hunting for- mushrooms and were very successful in their search which was very surprising inasmuch as it has been very dry in the area. On Sunday they all travelled to Appleton where they had dinner with Diane and Gary Linstad. They were joined by Art's sister and family, the Leonard Berths of Green Bay. Later in the day, Patty and Rich Harrison of McHenry and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Linstad and Heidi of Appleton joined the group. LADIES "500" CARD CLUB The Ladies "500" card club met at the home of Blanche Howe in Richmond. A delicious dessert was served and the ladies really had a good time visiting and talking over world affairs. In fact they were so busy talking and playing cards that nobody remembers who were high and low scorers for the day. Oh well, better luck next time to the losers. "500" CARD CLUB Paul and Althea Walkington attended the "500" card club held at the home of Helen and Lou Winn in Richmond last Saturday nig'ht. The high scorers were Danny Rawson and Alice Mae Wilcox with Dorothy Benoy and Adrian Thomas having low scores. BABY SHOWER A pink and blue shower was held to honor Resae Robinette at the home of her aunt, Phyllis Ackerman, with hostess Juanita "Mooch" Schiavone and Bonny Petska serving punch, coffee, sandwiches, extra munchies, and the traditional cake. The aunts and uncles, friends and cousins by the dozen were there, to wrap the gifts so mom, Bev Acker- man, will deliver all the goodies to her in Milton, Fla. We wish both mom and the new grand­ ma the best of luck. We are sorry to hear that Rodney Ackerman has his leg in a cast. What a time Co get laid up. Now tell us the whole story, Rod. We hear that you were racing your bike. We hope that you are getting along O.K. BIRTHDAYS Happy Birthday to Jammie Mough and Douglas Strom, May 14, and to Robert Mough, May 15. May 16 finds Cindy McPherson and Jim Pearson celebrating their day. May 17 finds Doug Adams becoming a big seven years old and the eighteenth finds An­ drea Walker another year older. May 20 - Ringwood UMW day to work at Clothing Closet at Woodstock families to meet together, to learn from one another and give support to those who face stroke related problems. The first meeting of the club will feature an informal discussion on stroke and rehabilitation presented by Easter Seal Staff members and Dr. R. Pensinger from the Kishwaukee Medical group. The program will be followed by a discussion of stroke clubs and their particular role and value. Time will be allowed for questions and answers. Refreshments will be served.
