Curtain Call For Clothing Class The twenty-seven students participating in the Spring Fever fashion show presented recently at West campus accept the enthusiastic applause of their audience following the program. Each model made her own outfit as a clothing class project and included students from both East and West campuses. Participants were, left to right. STAFF PHOTO-WAYNE GAYLORD Student Essay- Contest Nears May 20 Deadline The Lakeland Park Women's club essay contest is nearing the deadline for entries. May 20 has been the date set for the deadline. The essays are to be on the subject of "How I can work to improve my Community "5. and should contain approximately 100 to 150 words. All entries are to be sent to Mrs. Max Koch at 1508 North Flower street. The contest is open to all 1977 eighth grade graduates and seniors in high school, living in Lakeland Park and Lakeland Shores. The club is offering two $25 United States savings bonds, one for the best entry from the grade school graduate, and one for the best entry from a senior. This contest should be of interest to all Lakeland Park and Lakeland Shores graduates and seniors as the subject is one on which they should have many ideas and suggestions, and the prize is worth the ef­ fort. MEMORIAL HOSPITAL WOODSTOCK BIRTHS Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Miller of McHenry are the parents of a daughter born May 13. A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Michael Eggert of McHenry May 14. A girl born May 14 is welcomed into the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Weber of McHenry. May 15 will be the birthdate for a girl born to Mr. and Mrs. David Wahl of McHenry. JAIME LYNN MILLER Mr. and Mrs. Gerald P. Miller of 4401 W. Shore drive, McHenry, announce the birth of a daughter, Jaime Lynn, Friday, May 13. The baby girl weighed 8 lbs. 5 oz and measured 21 inches long. She has a brother, John, at home who is 7 years old. Proud grandparents include Mr. and Mrs. Elmer G. Meyers of Johnsburg and Mr. and Mrs. John H. Miller of McHenry. Great grandparents are Mrs. Mayme Miller of McHenry and Melvin Markee of Woodstock. Area Women's Club To Host Spring Meeting The Crystal Lake Women's club will be the hostess club for the spring meeting of the Fourth District of the Illinois Federation of Women's clubs. The meeting will be held at the John Evans inn in Crystal Lake May 25. Registration will be held at 9:15 a.m. and the meeting will convene at 10 o'clock. Mrs. Albert Stilling of McHenry, the president of the Fourth District will report on the state convention recently held at the Palmer House in Chicago. The Spares Sunday Evening club is a non-sectarian, non­ profit organization for single, widowed, divorced and legally separated adults. This club serves residents of McHenry county.
