Bible Church Presents 'Souls In Conflict' PAGE 5 - PL AINDEALER - FRIDAY. MAY 27, 1977 "Souls In Conflict" will be shown at the Alliance Bible church June 5 at 7 p.m. "Souls In Conflict," with spiritual lift for all, was filmed during Billy Graham's world- publicized London crusade. It is a feature-length film in color. The story encompasses the lives of three typical in dividuals, troubled with the present and completely con fused about the future. Because his unerring slide-rule doesn't come up with the answer, a famous jet pilot has his doubts about this new "religious resurgence" all his mates are talking about. A prominent actress wonders about this strange new "per sonal contact." Their need for a soul- satisfying religious experience is realized when each attends one of Graham's meetings in Harringay Arena, London's vast stadium. The story of "Souls In Con flict" is the story of all three - a trilogy that proves a change of outlook is brought about only by a supernatural change of the heart. Joan Winmill, star of the British spy thriller, "Epitaph for a Spy," and l\erself a convert to full-time Christian service, plays the actress. Eric Micklewood is the jet pilot and Charles Leno the factory worker. "Souls In Conflict", a full- length feature in color, joins the two earlier Billy Graham dramatic films, "Mr. Texas" and "Oiltown U.S.A.." All three are well kncwn for their quality, drama and challenge. EDUCATIONAL) College Honors\ DEGREE RECIPIENT LEAH R. RODE Leah R. Rode, daughter- of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Rode, Jr. of 1716 N. Banks Many of us have known the experience of returning to the town where we were born and spent the days of our youth after an absence of several years. We are impressed with the changes that have taken place. Depending upon the length of time we were away, we can be shocked to see that there is so much dif ference or surprised that there is so little change. We have a different attitude toward people. If Johnny Smith was fat and wore glasses, we expect him to look the same. We don't expect the girl we knew as a wallflower to have attained the role of town society leader. And, we see it • ->en all the time. So it was when Jesus returned to his home country. The country had not changed, but Jesus was different, not the child old friends and neighbors expected to see. His reaction to their doubts, to their curiosity was typical. He had expected it, probably, for those of little faith were the ones He considered most in need.
