According to Ordinance No. 61 a permit is required for the -installation of a swimming pool. Whether your pool is new orjold, a permit is required. The only exception to this is the small child's wading pool. A copy of the ordinance may be obtained at the village hall. VILLAGE BOARD NEWS Wednesday, June 1, at the regular board meeting an ordinance pertaining to a special census was passed. This census will be taken some time this summer. There was also a second reading of the ordinance regarding fees for proposed annexations. A proposed ordinance was discussed concerning the placement of stop signs at Hilltop and Biscayne. The proposed junk ordinance was read for the second time. Creekside park was discussed and action is being taken on this matter. The ICC Hearing continuance will take place, June 16, 10 a.m. in Chicago. It was stated that a new light was installed at the beach, and that empty lots will be cut within the next few weeks. If there is trash in the empty lot next door to you, help the mower and try to remove it in order to facilitate mowing. The Streets. Water and Sewer committee meeting will take place at 8:30 p.m. June 9. This meeting will concern the sewer project. The next board meeting is scheduled for June 15. GOLF OUTING FINALIZED The ladies golf outing to Twin Ponds has been set for June 15, Wednesday at 9 a.m. If in­ terested in attending, call 385- 5067. REMINDER The evening of dinner and a play at Shady Lane Playhouse is July 8. Contact Mrs. Novotny for reservations. BIRTHDAYS Ilene Bain celebrates her twelfth birthday, June 9. Denise Petrovich and at­ tendance and reading of the minutes by Jeanette May. Kathi Heberer discussed a new leader for next year for the club. Members for the camping committee were chosen and included Kathleen, Renee and Robin Mercure, Cindy Gilmore, Lori Blake and Denise Petrovich. The committee met May 31. Demonstrations were given by Robin Mecure on types of yarn; Lisa Opfer, horse production; Amy Opfer, breeds of horses; Renee Mecure, changing colors and Jeanette May, cat shows. The next meeting will be held June 21 at 7 p.m. at Jeanette May's house.
