Organization of a clean-up campaign for the Lakeland Park properties, community house, beaches and boat lan­ ding. 3. Discussion of replacing log automobile bumpers in the parking lots to improve ap­ pearance and safety in the parking areas. 4. Raymond Barle, Jr., days. That's because of the arrival of their new baby boy. Ryan Edward was born June 18 at Memorial hospital in Woodstock and tipped the scales at 9 lbs., 13 oz., and was 22 inches long when his mom and dad first saw him, Proud and happy paternal. grandparents are Mr. and Mfc. Raymond Barle, Sr., of :: Lakeland Park and equally proud and happy maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs, John Hanks of Grand Rapids, Mich. Ryan is especially lucky as he has three great grand- - mothers eager to show him lots of love. They are Mrs. Agnes Barle of Chicago and Mrs. Catherine Banner and Mrs. Stella Hanks, both from Grand Rapids. Our congratulations to the Barle family on the arrival of their first child and a warm hello to baby Ryan Edward! FUN UP NORTH Ron and Joyce Braun just teturaeddbome from Several V, days at their second home fa Spooner, Wii. Greg and Andy were along on the trip and from what we heard those fish were really biting. Ron was having a great time reeling them in and even caught enough Walleye which Joyce served at a Friday night fish fry for twelve friends before they returned home. While the fellows were fishing, Joyce enjoyed strolling to the beach and relaxing in the quiet and loveliness of the area. It was a fun and relaxing trip up to Spooner for the Braun family. CHRISTENING Sunday was a special day for Rich and Frankie Albright. Their baby daughter, Christine Lynn, was christened at Zion Lutheran church with Pastor Herman Graef officiating at the 10:30 services. Pretty Christine was all dressed up in a beautiful christening dress Frankie made for her daughter out of her wedding dress. * Godparents, Lynn Konieczka of Lakeland Park and Christine's uncle, Ralph Sch- wan of Island Lake, were very proud to be chosen as Christine's godparents. Special guests • included Christine's grandparents, Peter and Louise Schaefer, all of McHenry. „ 385-3777 385-4668 385-6448 Also there was a great aunt, Lillian Widmer of Wheaton, and cousin, Carol Evers of St. Louis. Other aunts and uncles who helped with the celebration were Ralph and Cindy Schwan, Alfred and Kathleen Ballstaedt and Barb Faunt. In all about thirty-five adults and numerous children were on hand at the Albright home and enjoyed the delicious buffet served by Rich and Frankie and all the fun provided for this special occasion. BIRTHDAY GIRL! Pretty Maria Pedraza had a special day last week when she celebrated her ninth birthday with some of her friends and relatives. Carmen and Rene Pedraza had a nice party for their daughter while Rubin, Dominick, Phillip and Michele all anxiously watched while their sister opened her many gifts. Special guests included* Aunt Eva Gomez,. Rubin Pedraza and Cindy, Mage and Senovio Slverado and their children, Lorenzo, Angelo, Dana and Tina, Aunt Irma Pedraza, Uncle Robert Longora and son, Robert, and Grandpa Phillip Pedraza. % Other friends and neighbors who attended were. Dean, Derrick and Dave Parisi; Kit, Armondo and Karen Grin; Kathy Pedraza and Kevin; Sandy Foster and her mother, Sandra; Maria Ricardo; Jim and Mike Cox; Arnie and Charlotte Doerfert and daughters, Kim and Lisa; Kim and Scott Hebert ; Millie and Marty Roscoe; Robyn and Rickie Mecure; and Joel; Julie and Emily Warren. All enjoyed a fine afternoon of cake and ice cream and, of course, several birthday games. Congratulations, Maria! COLORADO VISITOR The Braun family had some excitement recently when their daughter, Cindy Dell'Armi, came home for a one week visit. Everyone was glad to have Cindy home, even if the visit was a short one. She and her husband make their t\pme in Colorado Springs so it was indeed a fun reunion. Her brothers, Greg and Andy, were delighted to have hear home and her sister, Gayle Glos, and her sons, Ricky and Brian, were delighted to spend a day with her while she was here. Of course, mom and dad, Joyce and Ron, were delighted to see their daughter from "out west" and the Braun family will all agree it was a fun visit! FAMILY FUN Two Worth families from Lakeland Park were delighted all the "other" Worths could join them for a family picnic. Gertrude and Ralph had their sons and daughter gather at Jerry and Elaine's for the Sunday affair. Stephanie and Jennifer were delighted to have their cousins, Renee, Rita. Davey, and Patrick Worth and baby Coleen Skultety to play with for the day. Guests who enjoyed the backyard fun were David and Carol Worth and their children from Broadview, Paul and Sue Skultety and their daughter from Wonder Lake, and Richard Worth from Round Lake. Later in the evening Elaine's folks, Willard and Esther Nelson, came over with their relatives, Inez and Carl An­ derson, and Thyra Johnson who were visiting from East Hazelcrest. All in all the families agreed they had a beautiful day and enjoyed their family get- together at the Jerry Worth residence. GRADUATION PARTY The Itick of the Irish weatherman was smiling on the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Sullivan last Sunday when they, held a graduation party for their daughter, Ann. Ann recently graduated from the West campus of McHenry high school with honors. % The guest list numbered about one hundred friends and relatives who came to help Ann celebrate her graduation. Those who helped in the festivities were Ann's brothers, sisters and friends, Michael and Kathy Conway; Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Hoffmann, with their children, Jennifer and Eric; Mr. and Mrs. George Zwierzynski; Jerry and Kathy Berg; Joseph, Mark and Candy Bolger; John and Mary Sullivan of Chicago. * Everyone enjoyed the delicious buffet and a variety of activities were available for those who felt like playing volleyball, basketball, and frisby. There was also lively Irish music for those who felt like dancing. A good time was had by all and our congratulations to Ann on her graduation. BOOTIES, RATTLES AND RIBBONS On a recent Sunday afternoon a baby shower was neld for Jim and Sandra Neff's first child,- Jimmy, who was bom May 21 and tipped the scales at 6 lbs., 11 oz., and was 19Vfe inches long at birth. The baby shower was held at a local restaurant and was given by Sandra's sister, sister- in-law and good friends, Bonnie Parisi, Donna Ketiron, Barb Bucaro, Denise Thomas, Jim's sisters, Karen and Bobbie Hager, Betty Pickerill, Joanne Kamp, Thelma Massheimer, Patti Bitterman, and Pat Reh- berg. Proud grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Bucaro, Mr. and Mrs. John Becker and Jim's Aunt Irene - Knox from Waukegan were among the fifty guests who attended from McHenry, Morton Grove, Niles, Chicago, Country Club Hills, and Westmttnt. A delicious luncheon was served and there were many beautiful gifts to be admired after cake atid coffee. A few little hostesses were Dawn Parisi, Nicole Ketron, and Kim Bucaro. * Our. congratulations to the N e f l § f | t t n J ^ ' v " • « » * y i P , f TRIP NORTH Mille Gende and son, David C., took a trip to West Salem, Wis., recently to visit Mille's folks, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Repky. David had a great time visiting with his grandparents and even took in a little swimming. Mille and Davie also enjoyed getting together with many relatives from Mrs. Repky's family, which they hadn't seen for a few yean at the Langrehr reunion. Both mother and son had a great time in Wisconsin. SUMMER FUN TIME The Johnson and Koch families decided to have a day at Great America. The Catholic Order of the Foresters was having a family day. at the park. The day started off with a bang when the Johnson's family vehicle would not start and Maureen had to drive John into Chicago so she could use his car. She drove back, picked up her children, Mark, Kathleen, Patti, Betsy and Steven, stopped to pick up Shirley Koch and her family, Trudi, Jamie, Cissy and Max \ 1 Now's the time to get ready for fall with FS Drying-Storage Bin Systems 0 and friends, Tom Creutz and Tom Meecham. Everyone enjoyed the chicken dinner and the drippy ice cream cones were really neat! - Also enjoying the fun day at the park was Doris Schabow who was with the McHenry group of Foresters. The rides were terrific, the balloons were great, and dad, John Johnson, really enjoyed his evening with his family and close friends. They even got plenty of extra exercise jum­ ping fences to retrieve hats. Sounds like they had a great time. MINI-FUN Once again Captain Steven Moore was away for Father's day. This time the Army Reserves took him to Fort Bliss, Tex. He spent a lonely Father's day in Mexico! While he was away his wife, Anne, planned a lot of neat mini-fun days for their children, Kevin, Brian and Suzi. Their week included a visit to a Parish carnival in Chicago, a day at Old Chicago, three days at Aunt Pat and Uncle Ron's home in Des Plaines that in­ cluded a visit to an amusement park in Villa Park, a ride on the Chicago "1" and subway system (the kids first time ever!), Town and Country at St. Pat's church for Anne and her parents and mother-in-law and a day at an amusement park near Carpentersville for them all to enjoy. It's so nice to be a family once * again! CANDLE OCCASIONS July 6 is a day of celebration for Donna Kaminski and Robert Nystrom. Bobby will have nine candles on his special birthday cake. July 8 Brian Kreutzer will celebrate his sixth birthday. Thomas Gerambio and Terry Miller will celebrate their special day July 9. Tom will be 15 years old and Terry will turn 14 on that day. Karen Johnson will be 11 years old July lOand July 11 is a special day for Allison Winkle who will have eight candles on her birthday cake. July 12 is a special day for Mary Pautz and she'll hear the birthday song at her home. Special happy birthday wishes tb you all! HAPPY WISHES! Lloyd and Ann Dawson will celebrate their thirty-third wedding anniversary Friday, July 8. Our warm congratulations and wishes for many more happy years together to you both! OOPS!
