The department said this action was taken in order to keep stored grain under private ownership. The grain producer who wishes to move grain under CCC loan may do so by entering into reconcentration and trust with a CCC-approved warehouse. Any loss in quantity or quality resulting from movement of the grain is to be resolved by the producer and warehouseman invovled; corrected documents will then need to be prepared. Title of the commodity will remain wHh the producer. Additional information and agreement forms may be ob tained later this month or by early July from the local offices of the < department's Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation service. BOX 14} McMCNRY HI AOOSO •IS/385-1771 Balloon Raeo Newest Even# At State Fair Those magnificent men in their "flying machines" will climb into their balloon gon dolas Monday, Aug. 15, and lift into the skies for the Illinois State Fair's newest event, the hot-air balloon race. In the "Hare and Hound Race," balloonists will set out in pursuit of the "hare," the lead balloon which will have a 15-minute head start. The first prize winner will be the balloonist who lands closest to the grounded hare at the end of the race. The winner will receive a cash prize of $300. The second and third place finishers will receive $150 and $75. Local and national cor porations, as well as individual balloonists are encouraged to enter the race. A company that does not own a balloon may arrange to lease one through the State Fair. The leasing fee includes rental of a balloon, pilot and choice of banner. The board of directors now consists of Thomas Parsley, Leo Powers, Daniel Welty, Donald Freund and Timothy Lawrence all of Crystal Lake; and Joseph Kennedy of Gary, Illinois. As its guest speaker for the dinner, Father Rioux of the University of Notre Dame attended and related an in teresting history of the university from the time of its founding by Father Sorin to the present date. He concluded his talk by telling the membership of the latest fund raising campaign by the University to raise $130 million to assist the university in becoming one of the outstanding in the country.
