Pat Wirtz Tuesday brought the final round of the four-week Match Play tournament for the ladies at McHenry Country club and with it emerged the winners in the various classes. In Class A it was Nell Fidler over Liz Nolan. In what at first ap­ peared to be a tight match with both women even at the turn, the victory went easily to Tiger Nell. With Liz running into water probelms on the 10th and then developing a case of headitis, Nell swept through the first four holes on the back, tied on the 14th and closed Liz out on the 15th. A tighter match took place in Class B between Carla Wright and Bernice Dolce with Carla emerging the winner by two holes. Also winning by two holes .was Marge Blomquist over Gloria Ott in Class C. Probably the tightest match took place between Marcella / Wakitsch and Jean Remke in Class.D. Tied at the end of nine, Marcella took the 10th on a stroke hole. The next six holes were played head on with no give on the part of either player. Taking the 17th, Marcella assured herself of the match and became the winner. Not allowing any frosting on the cake, however, Jean dropped a long one from off the green on 18 for a par while Marcella had to settle for a bogie. Running concurrently with Match Play was the Con­ solation tournament.
