SUMMER SPIRIT DAMPENED Young Helen Freeman is the kind of a girl who is very active, she is always doing sum mersaults, cartwheels, hand springs and in general thoroughly enjoying swing sets; but all those activities were brought to a halt Sunday evening, July 24, when she fell from the swing-set and broke both the bones in her arm between the wrist and elbow. She was hospitalized for a few days to add to her discomfort. Helen is now at home sporting a cast that she will have to wear for two months, which will take care of all the rest of the summer and well into the fall school term. VACATION Phyllis, Gary, and Jason Leske left t^iis area on July 1 for Pendleton, Oregon, where they visited with Phyllis' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hal Harris (formerly of the McHenry area), her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Harris, also Mrs. Evelyn Wood, and Phyllis' Great grandma "King" Lee. The young Leskes spent two weeks taking in the beauty of Oregon and they returned home by way of the Dakotas. BIRTHDAYS Aug. 4 we will find one more candle on top of the cake for our son "Dutch" Hueckstaedt, there will be one more for our grandson, Chris Mumma, and Billy Anderson, who will be celebrating their big day on the fifth. Bob Dawdy will celebrate on the sixth, on the seventh, Goldie With row will share that date with Max Dawdy and Hank Victor. To each of you a very happy day. NOTICE!! NOTICE!! To all swimmers and waders - signs have been posted at the Lily Lake beaches telling all to swim at their own risk due to t the broken glass in and arotmd the water.
