Seems that those, long-looked-f or days disappeared too fast an' it's time t' buckle down t' th' learnin' process b'fore ye had enough o' th' summer fun. When this ol' lady takes a gander at th' way folks live, these days, it comes t' mind that younguns live, these times, like th' middle rich folks used to, when I was young, an' too, when raisin' me own family. Th' thing most prominent, seems t' be th' way tti' young folks take it all fr granted. They seem surprised t'hear that it hain't been this way, since th' beginnin'. Me thinks they'd be a feelin' deprived, if all th' luxuries were removed. Seems a pity, that it ain't appreciated more. But it 'ppears t' this granny that most things seem t' be accepted wi'out much thought o' how they came t' be. This elder can't complain about th' good things a bein' available, but it seems that there should be a wav o' teachin' th' young that it take s a lot o' doin', on th' part o' parents, t' pervide th' kind o' life, enjoyed by one an' all, an' all th' luxuries mayn't be possible wi'out th' mothers a bringin' a goodly share o' what it takes, an' that puts a large burden on th' problem o' pervidin' jobs f'r 'em. In earlier days, women worked until they married, 'r at least 'til th' youngsters came along. Then, they made a place available fr another young woman. This country couldn't pervide enough employment f r all th' adults^ an' give opportunities t' ttv young, just out o' school, an' it's still th same. Th' unemployment status includes ever'one, old enough t' hold a job. Me thinks there might be a way o' controllin' th' dire problem wi' some limitation on th' rights o' mothers, a farmin' out th' young-fry, whilst they go to their pertic'lar jobs, unless th' pappy can't pervide. There's many a woman, takin' jobs from men, these days, an' it ain't a healthy McHENRY HOSPITAL FIRSTBORN The first child of Robert and Susan S. Grandparents include Mr. and Mrs. Hasel Lusk and sitiation, seems t' me. Th' outcome o' it all, '11 tell th' story, but th' thing has grown t' such proportion, there may be no way out. But it's pure fallacy t' think that a country c'n pervide work fr ever'one. Grandma Radtke Mrs. Evelyn Wardell, all of McHenry.
