Good Things Also Come in Big Packages! In spite of the old saying, "good things come in small packages," good things also come in large packages. For example, one good thing for almost any family this Christmas would be a refrigerator. Another good thing would be a freezer. Still a third would be an automatic icemaker. Well, you can put all three of them together into a single, super family gift called an ice dispenser re frigerator from General Electric. Actually, GE of fers a "family" of ice-dis- pensing refrigerators, two popular side-by-sides and a top-freezer model. The largest side-by-side provides & huge.8.58-cubic- foot freezer space and 14.93 -cubic-feet for storing fresh foods. Yet it fits in a space just 36 inches wide. Not only will it freeze and refrigerate an enour- mous quantity of food, it also will store up to 10 pounds of ice (about 260 cubes) and will dispense them into your glass either as cubes or crushed ice without making you open the freezer door. It even provides chilled writer at the touch of a glass. Inside, it features adjust able cantilevered shelves of tempered glass which aid clean-up and help pre vent drip-through when spills occur, as well as gen erous see-through vege table and meat bins and adjustable door - mounted Porta-Bihs. A power saver switch can help reduce power consumption and cost of operation.' It's equipped with wh eels so it may be moved easily and comes in colors and white to blend with nearly any kitchen decor. " Gift Suggestion: Potted house plants are available in many sizes. The smaller pots indicate younger plants that have a longer life ahead of them if they are cared for pro perly. If you are giving a potted plant to someone who is not used to growing plants, include a book on indoor plants as part of your gift. Macrame,, beaded and shell plant hangers are also nice gifts, with or without the plant included. You can buy them or make them yourself if you have the time. Be sure to include a bracket or hook that can be mounted on the ceiling or on the wall for hanging the plant holder. Houseplants and gifts for gardening enthusiasts are fun to buy and show a per sonal, thoughtful touch.
