Everyone, parents as well as the 4-H members, were asked to come dressed in clothes that clashed. Judges had a hard time deciding who clashed the most. The meeting began with a delicious lasagna pot-luck dinner prepared by the mothers. After being en tertained by Liz Byrnes with songs and guitar music, the business meeting began. Prize money was awarded for ribbons won at the fair. Several state awards were handed out. Each member had been asked to give a short talk on the various activities that took place during the previous year. A few of the many talks given were on the 27-mile bike trip in Wisconsin, a tour of McDonald's, a tour of the water treatment plant, Share-The- Fun night, and the McHenry County fair.
